I want to see After Earth. It looks really good for a movie that really only has two people in it. LOL Night has made some awful movies but he has also made some good ones too. His ideas are unique but does not always translate well to the big screen.

He hasn't made a good movie in over a decade, and his last four directorial efforts were increasingly terrible.

I'm disappointed CBS didn't pick up NCIS:Red. I was looking forward to it.

I was too. Maybe it will find life as a mid-season replacement.

Any new teen dramas now that both 90210 and Gossip Girl are done? All I have left is Pretty Little Liars. :p

No clue what that one's about ... but with Rupert Grint and, especially, Stephen Fry, it doesn't matter in the slightest! (Ok, just looked it up, and the premise sounds hilarious -- and right up Grint's alley.)

Viewers have short attention spans, and want instant "payoffs".
    UGH!

I really don't care if I get an instant payoff from my shows. I would much rather have interesting characters to follow week to week and a story for each of them that keeps my attention from start to finish. If these execs can pull that off, then the inevitable payoff will be totally worth it for fans. I can't be the only one who feels that way.

BTW-There's not ONE new show that I'm even interested in checking out this year aside from OUAT in Wonderland and Chicago Fire: PD which I'll obviously watch because of my fandoms of their parent shows. I'm sure that will change eventually but right now, I'm honestly not interested in most of these new shows. :blah:

I also like shows with an "arc" that build slowly.

If I bump this up, maybe the person who compiles the lists and things will keep it going. All I know is I saw an article that Nashville starts 9/25. I hope they do a last season recap first.
