I wanted to like Vegas but stopped watching after lover boy ( Jason O'Mara ) killed a mobster in self defence but covered it up because, of all things in this world, he didn't want to loose his oochie coochie girl. If you are making a two dimensional tv show about good guys v bad guys then this was just a rrreally dumb way to go so soon after the show began. But I am bummed about Southland. :(

Not surprised about CSI:NY...it has been living on borrowed time for a year or two. I used to watch it regularly...started to lose interest when Melina Kanakaredes left. Then FOX moved FRINGE to Friday night, and I had to make a choice...FRINGE won. :)

NBC just renewed Community! I love that show, so yay for me!

Apparently, according to Variety, they renewed it because they knew that if they did not, they knew the show had a strong enough cult following that it would be shopped and either another network would pick it up, or - more likely - it would go digital to Hulu, Netflix, or Amazon. Variety cited as examples shows with similar cult followings that were cancelled on a network and then bought by another venue, such as Futurama and Arrested Development.

Yeah, we were holding our breath! :D

But popular shows have been cancelled before: Dr. Quinn, Murder She Wrote, Without A Trace....

    EDIT:

BTW, speaking of shows with gay parents, NBC cancelled The New Normal.

ABC has cancelled Happy Endings, but The USA Network has expressed interest in picking it up.

Looks like you're having the same computer glitch issue I was having last night...can't get a connection & then get multiple posts. And this morning page 3 wasn't even showing up on the menu, but it was viewable on the printable version of the thread...WEIRD!

dardar1125, I've had this problem from time to time when posting.
It only seems to happen on FSU!

ABC has decided to pick up the following shows:

    MARVEL’S AGENTS OF SHIELD

This one is from Joss Whedon. Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films. He brings together a small group of agents to investigate unusual things.

    MIND GAMES

Christian Slater is in this one. He and his brother are partners in a detective agency that uses psychological manipulation to solve client issues. Oh, joy.

    LUCKY 7

In Astoria, Queens, a group of 7 gas station employees have been going in together on a lotto pool. Each has problems money could perhaps solve.

    BETRAYAL

    A lawyer show involving infidelity

    RESURRECTION

The long ago dead from Arcadia, MO start to return

    KILLER WOMEN

    A female Texas Ranger

ONCE UPON A TIME IN WONDERLAND

In Victorian England, a reworking of Alice in Wonderland

    SUPER FUN NIGHT

A group of women have gotten together every Friday evening for a fun night, until one woman's life starts to get in the way, and she decides to try to switch things up.

    BACK IN THE GAME

A former softball player is pulled back into the game when her son and his friends fail to make their local little league team, and they decide to form their own team of misfits

    TROPHY WIFE

A former party girl marries a man who has been married twice before.

    THE GOLDBERGS

Set in the 1980s, described as "a loving family like any other, just with a lot more yelling."

    MIXOLOGY

This one, I actually think sounds kind of funny. Poor Tom hasn't been out to a bar in over 10 years. He gets dumped by his girlfriend, and his friends bring him to an upscale Manhattan bar. The first woman he meets is so harsh, he bursts out crying, and things only get worse from there, the poor dear.

ABC has cancelled, as mentioned, “Happy Endings,” “Body of Proof” and one not yet mentioned, “Malibu Country.” They have renewed “Suburgatory,” “The Middle," “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Castle,” “Scandal,” “Revenge” and “Once Upon A Time.”

CBS has now decided *not* to pick up Beverly Hills Cop. The show will be shopped to other venues. Eddie Murphy is in this show, reprising his original role. Apparently, there was originally a bidding war over this show, which CBS won, so I'll be it will be picked up elsewhere.

That sounds awful for Murphy and the show. Perhaps Netflix?!

I am assuming that the Wonderland show on ABC is a spin off from Once Upon a Time? It is even in the title. Is this the one with PeeWee Herman being cast?

The treatment I read didn't mention it being a spinoff of anything. It is written and executive produced by Eddie Kitsis and Adam Horowitz (“Once Upon A Time”), though. There was no mention of PeeWee Herman in the cast list.

Wonderland is kind of a spinoff but it's really a standalone series designed to bridge the fall and spring halves of OUAT next season. I think it's only scheduled to be 13 episodes. I'm excited about it! :)

Stoked to finally hear that OUAT, Revenge, Nashville, Grey's Anatomy, and Scandal were all officially renewed! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
