Since I dug this up for the pairs thread:

Yankowskas/Reagan are listed for both Senior SP & FS -- their competitive debut. Is this the competitive debut for Baga & Toth as well? I noticed Kiri is also entered in the Senior ladies events.

Senior Pairs entered (All 7 teams entered in SP & FS):

    Baga & Toth **
    Denney & Frazier
    Moore-Towers & Moscovitch -- CAN **
    Purdy & Marianaro -- CAN **
    Scimeca & Knierim
    Steele & Schultz -- CAN **
    Yankowskas/Reagan

Junior Pairs entered (All 11 teams entered in SP & FS):
    Aaron & Settlage
    Bell & Sylvester -- CAN
    Calalang & Sidhu
    Conway & Sherriff-Clayton -- CAN **
    Jones & Beharry -- CAN **
    Liu & Perini
    Oltmanns & Santillan **
    Orr & Furiano -- CAN **
    Rau & Simpson -- CAN **
    Simpson & Blackmer
    Zaitsev & Stevens **

**= entered in Indy Challenge the following weekend (Aug. 3-5)

Intermediate Ladies SP and Juvenile Girls FS qualifying rounds started today - results compiled so far: http://unseenskaters.wordpress.com/2012/07/25/2012-skate-detroit-results-in-progress/
Rina Golubchic (CSKA Russian Federation) won Int. Ladies SP C - can't recall if I've ever seen a lower level Russian competing before at Skate Detroit.

Joshua Santillan (of the Junior pair team of Oltmanns/Santillan) is blogging for IN from Skate Detroit: http://web.icenetwork.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20120725&content_id=35534546&vkey=ice_news

Alexa Scimeca/Chris Knierim debuted their Moonlight Sonata SP at Broadmoor Open in June (scored 50.89 there with a fall on the sbs 3S by him). Today they received the highest TES score and reportedly went clean with 3twist, throw 3F, and both landed the 3S. Their FS music is the Last of the Mohicans soundtrack.

    TES/PCS scores included:
    Moore-Towers/Moscovitch CAN 59.47 [32.92 TES/26.55 PCS], Scimeca/Knierim 58.49 [34.29/24.00], Denney/Frazier 50.18 [28.18/23.00 -1], Purdy/Marinaro CAN 48.00 [25.95/22.05], Yankowskas/Reagan 36.92 [18.62/19.30 -1], Baga/Toth 36.67 [16.92/19.75]

Junior Pairs FS (11 teams competed):
    Simpson/Blackmer 84.24, Rau/Simpson (CAN) 82.29, Liu/Perini 81.28, Aaron/Settlage 74.96, Calalang/Sidhu 73.53, Bell/Sylvester (CAN) 70.92, Jones/Beharry (CAN) 70.61, Oltmanns/Santillan 67.61, Zaitsev/Stevens 67.49, Orr/Furiano (CAN) 67.48, Conway/Sheriff-Clayton (CAN) 58.26

ETA Senior Ladies SP A results (19 competed):
    H Miller (EGL) 56.72, L Dinh (now EGL) 49.82, O Kamieniecki (POL) 45.38, C Gold (UGL) 43.06, A Dobbs (SW) 42.56, K McNeil (CAN) 42.18, A DeSanctis (CAN) 41.18, K Charbonneau (CAN) 41.14, A Chartrand (CAN) 37.85, K Johnson (DEN) 37.82, A Gilles (EGL) 37.33, Z Brown (CAN) 36.96, A Walczak (NA) 36.11, D Sivak (UGL) 36.09, C Nickerson (EGL) 33.94, G Glastris (GRE) 32.06, J Zhang (NA) 32.01, D Koris (GRE) 29.27, F Sheikh (EGL) 28.47 [WD: L Verhulst (UGL)].

    ISU new TES standards:

    Short Program/Short Dance
    Ladies: 28 (was 15)
    Men's: 35 (was 20)
    Pairs: 28 (was 17)
    Ice Dancing: 29 (was 17)

    Free Skate/Free Dance
    Ladies: 48 (was 25)
    Men's: 65 (was 35)
    Pairs: 45 (was 30)
    Ice Dancing: 39 (was 27)

    So far...

So it looks like only Moore-Towers/Moscovitch CAN [32.92 TES], Scimeca/Knierim [34.29 TES], and Denney/Frazier [28.18 TES] made the new cut.

Ladies: Hannah Miller [32.27 TES], Gracie Gold and ???

    Sobering.

Her short program tonight was not only solid but also fascinating.

Of course, as she had shown last season, the height and the distance of jump were so huge.

Also, she presented mature choreography successfully.
    She is not junior-ish anymore.

I can not wait to see her free program.

:rollin: Hope that means the move to Yuka and Jason has helped her. Her style has always been amazing, but the jumps have always been shaky. Glad to see she skated so well.

There's a super cute pic of Gracie and Carly Gold on IN's Thursday update. :)

Wow! Those are good scores for this point in the season. But I'm guessing Gold had a couple errors.

    How did Becky Bereswill do?

Gold doubled a Lutz and stepped out of her second 2A where I think she planned to do a 3T combo. Bereswill is warming up now. Osmond is in 3rd with around 100 points.

Thanks for the first-hand reporting, mgobluegirl! :)

I believe Alex Johnson was 2nd but don't know anything more at this time.

Woah! That's big. But Hannah has been training for the JGP so I expect her to be in very good shape at this point. Both very good scores for July regardless.

Oh dear what happened to Nina...68? She was skating so well last season, she looked to be in great physical condition in that picture on icenetwork so I wonder what's up. Hopefully things will go better in the final round.

    Great score for Hannah!

Bereswill fell on 3Lz and 3F fairly early in the program and also doubled both jumps in an intended 3T+3S sequence but then landed a nice 2A and a 3S, a 3Lo and a 3T. Rotation may have been a little short on a few of those. Nice program to Prokofiev's Cinderella, scored around 79 and finished 7th I believe.

Jiang had at least 2 pops and fell on a 3Lz. Charbonneau was wonderful, I don't remember her content or score but I think she finished 4th
