Some very good Juvenile girls are skating their Final right now.
ETA: Gia Kokotakis won with "Over the Rainbow" and an unofficial score of 46.07.

Last event of Friday night: Intermediate Ladies SP (they qualified from yesterday's 3 FS qual. groups). Unofficial top 2: Daniela Dryden 35.46 (landed 3S+2T, 2A) and Isabella Smit 35.36 (wonderful Biellmann!).

Also, Vise/Baldwin (who have been added as the 3rd US pair for the Salt Lake Senior B in mid-September) skated their SP in exhibition at the Golden West club competition earlier today. I heard they scored 49.28, got Level 4 on their lift, sbs spin, and footwork, and landed sbs 3T, with hands down on the throw 3Lz.

Terrific start in juniors from Karen Chen! :) Just won the SP with 3lutz/3loop (I'm guessing some underrotation, but solid) and 3F. Score was in the 50's IIRC.

Has she actually tested up then for Nats?

52.79 was Karen Chen's unofficial Junior Ladies SP score - she skated to the film soundtrack of The House of Flying Daggers. Yes, she tested up to Junior earlier this summer. I caught the end of Katia Shpilband's "Singing in the Rain"/Hollywood medley(?) SP - her unofficial score was 44.82.

I saw Katia's program. Skated pretty well. Stepped out of her 3flip. Her combo was a 3lutz-2toe and was landed cleanly but perhaps the lutz was underrotated. The scores seemed a little low but maybe she lost some levels in addition to jump issues. I think this program is good for her - forces her to look up. :)

Karen was amazing. Yeah, I think the loop was underrotated. But it might be clean by Nats. ;)

Nathan just skated - fell on the 3A attempt but the quality of his skating is just amazing. I thought that before - but that was a wow program.

Nathan Chen's ISU bio -- for his JGP debut in Austria in 2 weeks -- is online and lists his music:
SP: Preludium and Allegro by Franz Kreisler [classical violin piece]
    FS: The Three Musketeers (soundtrack)

Shotaro Omori landed a BIG 3A and 3Lz+3T before falling on 3F in his Tango SP - no wonder he was given a JGP assignment (#4 in Turkey) even though he missed qualifying for Nationals last year!

ETA Unofficial scores for top 3:
N Chen 69.39 - after falling his his 3A, he landed both 3Lz+3T and 3F for the second half bonus
    S Omori 63.83 - see above
    V Zhou 60.88 - 3Lz+3T, 3F, 2A (weird fall near end of program)

Just saw most of the junior men at the rink. Chen went down on the 3A - not enough speed, was off timing. The rest of his skating was very fluid and quiet. He is soooo tiny.

Omori's 3A was a beauty, but his basic skating is rather scratchy.

Good presentation skills from these young guys.

Watch for Isabella Smit's layback to Biellmann spin! :)

ETA: The top 2 Intermediate Ladies' finishers are from Salt Lake City - Daniela Dryden (91.54 unofficial total, landed a nice 3S and 2 2A) and Anna Grace Davidson (90.83 unofficial total) - they were the final 2 skaters.

If there is a way, I don't know how. Unfortunately.

ETA #2: Apparently after the event is over, a "rewind/rewatch" option appears on the screen, but if you return to the live stream I think you can't re-watch that event anymore.

Senior Ladies update: Victoria Muniz (PUR) has WD.

    Senior Ladies SP is starting...

Ysabel Tran is first up (she was mistakenly listed among the Senior Men instead of Ladies! ;)) - she skated to one of my favorite film soundtracks, Sense and Sensibility.

Isabel Tran, I was so impressed by the position in her sit spin...and then she hopped over to a new position and completely blew it. Her layback position would make Dick Button smile.

Ya... But she's exquisite. Does anybody have a link to bios of the participants by any chance? How old is she?

Maybe it's me- but I seem to like everybody:) Carolyn, as well. Free and espressive.

C-A Alba has an interesting music choice. Seems a bit hard edged for her. I did like her extended spin that spanned the music transition.

Not just you. These ladies don't skate with the weight of the world on their shoulders. They don't look cautious. Its like: here I am, watch this, see what I can do! :cheer2: Very free and expressive.

Carolyn-Ann Alba is 19 now - here's an outdated Team USA bio (she competed in one JGP in the fall of 2007 after having won the Novice bronze at 2007 U.S. Nationals): http://web.icenetwork.com/skaters/detail.jsp?id=100052

Ysabel Tran is 15 now and she placed 9th in Novice at 2011 U.S. Nationals.

Both are coached by Tammy Gambill.

Amanda Sunyoto has represented TPE internationally with her brother in pairs -- he has retired and she skates singles now.

Stephanie Rigley competed once as a Novice at U.S. Nationals and represents GBR now.

This is Katarina Kulgeyko's Senior debut (9th in Junior at 2012 U.S. Nationals, 5th in JGP AUT last fall): http://web.icenetwork.com/skaters/detail.jsp?id=101026&mode=I

Leah Keiser will be making her JGP debut next month in Istanbul, Turkey: http://web.icenetwork.com/skaters/detail.jsp?id=101024&mode=I

Sophia Adams qualified for her first Nationals last year and finished 17th in Senior - I believe she is 18?

Stephanie Rigley...her lipstick is too dark. As a result it looks like she is skating around with her mouth wide open. :( It wouldn't hurt if she lightened up on the mascara too. But hey, she's got big skates to fill if J McKorkle has retired...and in that case, the makeup is understandable. She carries on a tradition. :p
