From this 30-seconds clip, it looks like they're keeping the traditional Swan Lak etheme
sp: lawrence of arabia
choreo: stephane lambiel
SP: Prayer For Taylor
I'm excited to see Miki without Morozov "choreography"
Although I did like her mission program when she won worlds
it will be interessting to see miki completely without morozv.
i still have doubts if this all works, but let´s see
I gotta say that Morozov is a good coach in that he inspires confidence in his skaters. I wonder whether Miki will have the same consistency
that´s a true point.
answer will be given in about a month. i have no idea in what shape miki is.
her jumps in shows were just axels, salchows and toes, and even these looked often kind of shaky.
I am surprised that Shen's wig didn't fly off after the huge throws. I like the ending part .... Zhao 'biting Shen's neck'.
Can't wait to see Murakami's programs this season - loved Mao's Japan Open performance too!! Also looking forward to seeing Mirai's FS, I really hope she can bring it this season.
Kanako Murakami competed her SP and FS at Chubu Regionals last week - links are posted in the Japan skating news thread: http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showthread.php?p=3705051#post3705051
Her SP is a "New Age" song composed by Michael W. Smith that's been popular with many skaters in the past but I can't remember the title right now.
ETA: Thanks to burntBREAD for identifying the song, "Prayer for Taylor," and for posting the link to Nagasu's Finlandia FS in the US ladies thread in the Trash Can: http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showthread.php?p=3705045#post3705045
It's "Prayer for Taylor"
SP: George Gershwin - I Got Rhythm
That will be fun!
Was the rumor actually confirmed? I read the Twit announcing this (and I mentioned it @GS), but I haven't seen any official confirmation yet...
It's confirmed here.
Sorry, the link is in Japanese...
Thank you! Actually, I noticed just now that the link was posted on the Mao forum and I just missed it.
Very fun choice of music! According to the linked article, there will be some tapdancing in Mao's SP. Can't wait to see it!
So far the only time I have seen tapdancing work really well on skates was when Gene Kelly tapped in roller skates in "It's Always Fair Weather" I hope this will be the 2nd time~!

SD Andijan Polka
FD The Ghost (musical soundtrack)
Savchenko-Szolkowy FP: Flamenco Bolero by Gustavo Montesano.
Takahashi-Tran FP: "Gigi" soundtrack.
Thank you. Polka is interesting. But I remember that Morozov said that they had their FD music especially composed for them. So, they either must have changed it, or that "composer" didn't actually compose the music, but just did a new arrangement of it.
I think he said their SD music was composed for them, not FD.
Wow, very interesting too! Especially the 'Flamenco Bolero'. Thank you.
They talked about SD/ And i think they need to made arrangement of FD music, because it need to be made according to ISU rules.
Probably - I don't remember that well now. But 'Andijan Polka' is not music "composed especially for them" either - it's Uzbek national music, originally called 'Andijon polkasi' (in Uzbek). Also here.
I know. But they need to made part for Yankee-polka This part was made especially for them.
You're right .
Or maybe he nade waltz in this style for them in SD.
I must say, you confused me, pani, because I thought that 'Andijan Polka' could be used for the Yankee Polka part. Or am I wrong?
Nooooooo I hated all the programs done to I got rhythm in the past. The music has no impact when used for figure skating. Hoping Mao proves me wrong but not optimistic
WHEEEEEEE!!! This may be the first season where I love both their SP AND LP!!!!
