Or she was watching Glee.
The sound quality is much better from JGP Sencila Bled than from the previous JGP's.
So I'm hoping some one can recognize some of the programs for singles & teams that have not posted an ISU biography update.
Alexander Samarin LP
It appears this is to some kind of military themed movie soundtrack. Does anyone recognize it?
You can now tell that Yanovskaya & Mozgov's SD is to Bensonhurst Blues & Wilson Pickett's Land of 1000 Dances.
Their SD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCk65mwTuyg
Their FD is to some Bollywood soundtrack.
Can anyone recognize it? Is it perhaps Mohabbatein?
OMG somehow I totally love that idea. But then, Annie was my favorite musical as a kid.
Can't help you with the first tracks but the last one is "Ya habbibi yalla" by Ishtar and the Gypsy Kings (doesn't look like it but that's a french production -mixing maghrebi, sepharadic jewish, israeli and spanish gypsy elements- that has nothing to do with Bollywood).
The first track sounds actually more egyptian than indian to my ears but I may be wrong on that account.
I loathe absolutely everything about it. I had to do it one summer and I think I'll never recover.
First part is called "Maktub" it's a soundtrack from Brazilian tv series "Clone" (don't know who sings it tho). And it's arabic if I understand it right:
here it is
You can watch Alessandrini/Vaturi's SD here: click on Musical On Ice - 2° parte, then go to minute 24.
Thank you Nmsis & Marshan for the ID!
Now all I need is Samarin's music?
It's soundtrack from russian movie "Admiral".
The second one is Inta Eyh by Nancy Ajram(She is the most famous singer in middle east)
Jeremy Abbott debuted an exhibition version of his FS to "Bring Him Home" (arranged by Steven Jamail) at the Evening with Champions show last night - a video link is posted here in the EWC show thread: http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showthread.php?p=3698602#post3698602
He plans to debut his SP at today's EWC show.
Mao FS is SWAN!!
from TV-program interview
What kind of swan? Music?
Swanlake by Tchikovsky
TV Program interview
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1C_kinmd1g Here's Michal's SP. Spins look somewhat improved. However, it worries me that none of his jumps here are performed as planned (the LP wasn't much better). Not a fan of the costume or the stubble at all either
Cool. I'm looking forward to the cuts of music she uses. I hope it is different than Ashley's (I love Ashley, but hope the programs emphasize different pieces).
Hopefully Mao is able to up her consistency this year.
I hope that Mao's swan will be traditional and not voidy like Arakawa used to do. You never know from these Japanese ladies. This is a great choice for Mao, if she sticks to flowing, traditional style.
I don't think Mao has range to do anything other than traditional.
Does anyone recognize Haruka Imai's LP music?
I heard Mao's Swan Lake is choreographed by Tarasova.
I am sort of curious - who choreographed Adelina Sotnikova's 07-08 Swan Lake?
Does anybody know?
It seems that Asada and Sotnikova has already 3 programs the same:
Ladies in lavender, Lieberstraume and now apparently the Swan lake
And Esquivel's arrangement of Scheherazade! It seems that TAT loves certain pieces of music so much that she keeps giving them to a few skaters in a row.
I've been secretly hoping for Mao to skate to Swan Lake since 2006 (her sister Mai had lovely program to SL, but she didn't qualify for Worlds...), so I'm OK with this choice.
Chock/Bates' Dr. Shivago FD is pure magic* A mesmerizing performance from these two. It'll be interesting to see how the USFSA scores the top four teams @ US Nats. Maybe we'll see a team from Zueva, a team from Shpilban, and a team from Camerlengo/krylova go to worlds.
Otoh, what a F***ed up program from Zhiganshina/Gazsi Their coach HATES them. It's the only explanation!
What is their music?
That part when he cracks her neck (am I right to assume he's Jack the Ripper? ) and he thinks he has killed her... err major FAIL
According to http://www.maoasadaforum.com/t1054p90-haruka-imai
It is to the soundtrack of the movie Charade...an Audrey Hepburn Cary Grant film if I remember correctly
I think it's Imai's SP that's to "Charade".
You are right...they blurred during the weekend.
I think it is Mozart...finishing with something very familiar...like Eine kleine Nachtmusik..but I may be wrong with the last piece. It is Mozart for sure
