Zlobina/Sitnikov - Very original music choices and the program is a really good vehicle for them.

Takahashi - Annoying music but he's skating with tons of character throughout. Looks like 3lutz and 3axel are placed in the second half for the 1.1 bonus. 4toe was under-rotated and two-footed but kudos to him for going for it in those show lights.

I'm really disappointed with his hair though. :(

Not only the ladies. Don't be so heteronormative. :p

me too, I do watch it now though I will admit I dont know much about ice dancing scoring , I believe this will be their first GP event, they could take the
Z/G route and continue to improve

I love Goran Bregovic, so I'm excited to see this FD. I always wanted to see someone skate to Ederlezi as well.

Nice that he's so free and loose and relaxed through the whole program. It looks as if he's got kind of a James Dean/Roy Orbison thing going on with the hair--I kind of like it. The music in the first part of his program--with the heavy drums and cymbals--kind of sounds to me like the stereotypical strip club music that's heard in movies from the 1960's rather than rockabilly; the second part's closer to rockabilly, though. [And yes, I am a Dai fan. . ..]

I really like their choices of music for this. Something different and original.

However I was watching Sucker Punch last night and when Army of Me by Bjork came on I thought this team could do an amazing Bjork FD.

Wow - Chan and Takahashi's short programs couldn't be 2 more different vehicles for them with which to be compared! Looking forward to this season for so many reasons!

After last year's FD, that was kind of... just ok? I didn't hate it, but it didn't have anywhere near the impact of last year's FD. I'm kind of :shuffle: about it.

BTW, is that last lift legal?

that´s right. last years fd had an great impact.

i like ths years fd, too, especially beginning and ending are very entertaining.
the middle sequenece seems too long and not-ending. also they should polish a lot, but it´s early in the seaosn.

last lift is li+trans, does not count, as i would say.

I realize that In the Garden of Souls was going to be hard to live up to, but this is a solid step backwards in every possible way - hairstyle included.

Normally I prefer it when skaters get new programs each season, but Dai should consider doing some recycling.

I'd love if In the garden of souls comes back in the olympic season! So far I've been watching Dai's new sp like three times just to be sure, and still don't like it and don't get it. This is really generic coming from Dai:(

BUT, the biggest YAY for the quad and 3A tried in that outing!

I agree with you guys. This Rockabilly program is Daisuke’s worst SP in the recent 5 seasons. In the Garden of Souls, Eye, Mambo, and Cyber Swan are all better than this new program. There’s nothing origninal in the new SP. It imitates Mambo and Eye but not as sexy and original as those two.

Poor Dai, he deserves something better than this generic program. He should go back to better choreographers such as Miyamoto, Wilson, and Camerlengo in the Olympic season. Btw, I hope Bourne will come up with something more creative for the LP.

I like it, but I'm with you, I guess I was expecting something a little more exciting based on last year's program. I enjoy the music quite a bit, though. The performance was a little sloppy, so I'm hoping with some time, it will have more impact.

for me, there's something off with the concept as well..maybe in 2012, doing Elvis the Pelvis doesn't exactly scream avantgarde..
