Good 800m. The Russian certainly deserved that win. Everyone showed great sportsmanship. And I wish commentators would get over Semenya. The controversy is done for. Stop worrying about it.

I've never heard the phrase "hard lines" before the Channel 4 trackside person has been repeating it all week.

Not surprisingly the US come out on top of the medal table. Great champs for Kenya, good for Russia, pretty disappointing for Ethiopia. GB get their medal target and will hope to do better next year.

Jamaica ran a great race and broke the world record even with Bolt running the last 100m practically alone. It looks like they would have won anyway. Pity that their victory is somewhat tainted by the fall. :(

The French cannot believe they have the silver!

There have been plenty of talking points and lots of :drama: along the way but I've thoroughly enjoyed the championships. So many great competitions outweighing some disappointments. Didn't turn out too bad for GB but they could have done so much better. They made their medal target though. :)

i don't think jamaican win is tainted at all, there is no way us could have come anyway close to jamaican team. Sure they would have won the silver and pushed French to third spot. With Jimmy Vicut and Lemaitre, French spriting is in safe hands.

How is the win tainted. Bolt took the baton with the lead and it wasnt even Tyson Gay getting the baton just behind him. There is more chance of a pink pig landing from the sky on the track than Jamaica losing at that point.
