I'm hoping they move the GPF out of Asia

I thought Sochi was applying for it, but I don't remember where I heard that. It might be closer to 2014, though.

:sekret: I heard Cup of China will be in Shanghai next year, though I really hope it's still in Beijing.

I'm really hoping that Skate America and/or the G-P Finals be in the Eastern US. Lake Placid would be super-nice for both! :)

I think it would be nice if it were in a place other than Beijing.

Nooooo!!!!!! :scream: Some place with a real airport, please! That's all I ask. East Coast would be great, but I'll gladly fly west again rather than make the trek to LP again.

Some place where SW flies would be great, preferably east coast or midwest. ;) .

I am already plotting my return to TEB. Paris, no stupid bag checks etc... Lots more fun then a USFSA event where the goal often seems to be to "drive off" the fans :)

SA looks for smaller venues...So, a hub city is not likely, unfortunately. And, LOC's that have a good volunteer base. SA has ping-ponged back and forth between east and west coast. Has it been in the middle of the USA in recent years?

Milwaukee!! Four major airports w/in 2 hours, not as as expensive as the bigger cities, ample hotels in close proximity to the Bradley Center, charming downtown and tons of practice ice at the Pettit :)

LOL, I'm going to have to start getting involved and volunteering. This idea is too good to let it slide! (no pun intended... )

Anybody has statistic which venue made the record of audience? It seems to me that Oregon/Washington areas seem to be skating friendly?

Glad to see Skate Canada earlier in the season again. Has anyone heard any rumours of where Skate Canada might be next year?

Interesting choice of Sapporo for NHK...everything is almost always in Tokyo or Nagano. I wonder if the comp. will be held on the same ice as the Olympics in '72.

I've never been to Lake Placid. While I hear it is lovely, getting there is problematic for anyone not living on the East Coast. I'm with TanithandBenFan, just give me an airport.

Public transportation is nice, too. I'd go back to Portland in a heartbeat. :D

I don't need a hub city, just somewhere with an airport big enough for planes without propellers. ;)

where will skate canada be this time? i read an article recently that say it'll be a while before skating competitions are back in vancouver. maybe winnipeg should take advantage of this chance. would like to see skate america in boston. if its boston, it will most likely be at agganis arena. first and only time SA was in Mass. was back in 1996.

Places in the US I'd love to see SA (I have no clue if there's usable ice in any of these places, but I'm also not the one deciding):
    -Phoenix, AZ
    -Nashville or Memphis, TN
-Long Beach, CA (didn't we have a JGP out there?)
-Chicago, IL (too big a town?)

 OMG come on, it's not THAT bad- the American Association of Community Theater festival is coming here in 2011... I love it here. OK, it snows a lot, but there is LOTS to do!
