Or to participate.
Yeah, like Dick Button competing for USA at the European championship in 1948.
I would be happy just to have it on US TeeVee. Besides, I dont know how many rude mericans would get ESC.
Is it time to start a "Eurovision 2011" thread or is it too early?
Well, the following countries have confirmed their participation for next year: Azerbaijan, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Malta, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and Ukraine.
Austria and Hungary are undecided and Liechtenstein might make its debut!
Not surprising Poland isn't confirmed after the results we've had in the last several years.
Edyta for 2011, please!
She probably considers herself far too good for it. Her ego is massive. And it's just been boosted by her getting 70kPLN for her 20th anniversary show she's just done for one private tv network (that's over 20k$ or almost 17k€.
To return to Sweden not making the final, which was seen as a national disaster, Salem Al-Fakir that definitely should have won Melodifestivalen ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBREf1tUUZE ) would have surely done much better.
A few days ago, I've finally listened to the Alcazar song for the first time and it's wonderful, camp fun! Shame it didn't even make it to the final.
Best Week Ever did its part to pump up the gaudy fabulousness of Eurovision to Americans.
Ah but alas, such an endeavor is likely a waste of ink on the American public ... akin to other lost causes like soccer.
10 Reasons Americans Should Be Obsessed with Eurovision
Two factual errors in that piece. Tsk tsk!
But they got right that Greece wuzrobbed and clowns on stage is craziness
FYR Macedonia, the Netherlands and Switzerland have confirmed their participation for next year!
I got Malcolm Lincoln's album "Loaded With Zoul" and it's great.
Georgia has confirmed its participation for next year!
And oh my God! Lena will represent Germany next year!
Apparently this information is fake.
I should stop believing Wikipedia.
Well her first reaction to winning was to say she is going to represent Germany again next year.
I am sure her manager has persuaded her out of this very quickly.
Well, she was still saying the same thing as of last Thursday. So her manager is super slow.
Oh dear. Somebody should really stop her, it's not like she is going to win again.
So is she or isn't she?! That is the question!
Let the girl defend her title next year! She looks very determined!
I'm all for having a female version of Johnny Logan.
I'd be really surprised if she won again the following year...
Albania, Armenia and the United Kingdom confirmed for next year!
