I'll serve up some homemade blueberry ice cream when you come over for dinner. Oh, and your husband (as well as your cat) is welcome too!

It's amazing how an editor can bring shades and nuances to a writer's raw material. Harper Lee's "To Kill a Reputation" is a classic example.

You can find a copy of the opinion here: http://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/14pdf/14-556_3204.pdf

The fortune-cookie comment is in a footnote. Scalia accuses Kennedy of using aphorisms that could be found in a fortune cookie instead of legal precedent.

Kennedy might say the same thing about Scalia's dissent. :shuffle: (I wish we could put smileys here.)

Pity. I hoped for the country free of prejudices. Instead I got another mockery of a democracy. No democracy on this planet. I don't believe in any.

IA continues to be obtuse for whatever reason. All these people who are saying the Romney is the second coming and will save us from Obamacare and economy are burying the heads in the sand when it comes to the environment, women's rights, gay rights, working with the world instead of trying to aggression...I certainly hope that all of us have to suffer the consequences of a Romney presidential tenure. Those consequences will have a long lasting and a world unlike anything we have seen - environment can not be corrected, military aggression is likely to lead to that horrific end. But hey if we can fix (remove) Obamacare and pretend to fix the economy what does it matter

    Now, too much of Carmen
Can make a man feel ill at ease
One man’s temper might rise
While another man’s temper might freeze :(
    In the day of confession
We cannot mock a soul :saint:
Oh, when there’s too much of Carmen
    No one has control

    Say hello to Valerie
    Say hello to Vivian
Send them all my salary :bribe:
    On the waters of oblivion

    Too much of Carmen
Can make a man abuse a king
He can walk the streets and boast like most
But he wouldn’t know a thing
Now, it’s all been done before
It’s all been written in the book :COP:
But when there’s too much of Carmen
    Nobody should look :yikes:

    Say hello to Valerie
    Say hello to Vivian
Send them all my salary :bribe:
    On the waters of oblivion

    Too much of Carmen
Can turn a man into a liar
It can cause one man to sleep on nails
And another man to eat fire :angryfire
    Ev’rybody’s doin’ somethin’
I heard it in a dream
But when there’s too much of Carmen
It just makes a fella mean

    Say hello to Valerie
    Say hello to Vivian
Send them all my salary :bribe:
    On the waters of oblivion
