We had the mildest winter ever until a few days ago with weather that seldom got below 32F with two or three days in the 50s. Right now it is -9F in midmorning. Not supposed to warm up much until next Sunday when it is predicted to reach a balmy 22F.
Well, it is January and we need some cold...
Would this be suitable for a book on family history? I have lots of information and photos, plus I would like to insert some genealogy charts and maps. I have never done this before but I hope I am capable of learning this. What is your opinion on the suitability of this for my project?
I would think that repeating a venue would help attendance. People who have been there before ae familiar with logistics and would find it much easier to return.
I hate all drug and Medicare supplement/Medicare advantage commercials with a fire of a thousand suns :angryfire I would have to think about which one was the most annoying, but old Martha and Joe Nameth come to mind!
Makers of these commercials must think we are all stupid.
The pressure is on to have everything mail order. I don't want that since my mailbox is unsecured and in an inconvenient place. I also don't want to rent a PO box and drive miles to pick up. Plus the mail comes so damn late here that I would be home before it was delivered
Lots of stuff...
I have the $5.99/month plan and have never had any ads during skating when watching the world feed. Anyone know if this is still true? Debating if I need to upgrade.

Has he been skating in a lot of shows?? He must really be working hard to be able to do all those jumps!!
I don't know if anyone else mentioned it, but I remember the CB radio craze. I had a friend whose CB name was Peter Rabbit and he had so much fun with his CB radio.
I have had several cars back in the day that had standard transmission. Rent a car in Europe and you need to relearn that skill - fast
I lived in a place with a one way street and I had to parallel park on the left side since there was no parking on the right side of the street.
Back in the late 80's - early 90's I travelled for my job and had a car phone. It was in a bag, had an antenna attached to the car and stayed in the car. It was so much better than finding a pay phone somewhere and calling the office on an 800 (WATS line!). The home office line was always busy -...
I think the last time I went to Skate America and US Nationals I winged it and bought tickets at the box office. I bought some single event tickets and I think I bought a weekend package at Nationals. I may have cost a little more but no Ticketmaster fees. Will they still let you do that???
ITA about Cha. Ilia should be very proud of that bronze medal at his seond worlds. It was a tough field with some excellent performances!
Edited to recognize that Ilia was at Worlds last year! I knew that but I must tired from watching skating around the clock for a few days!
