What does US Figure Skating have to do with it? I know they can claim copyright on Icenetwork and ESPN and all that, but can they do that for networks outside the US? That wouldn't make sense.
Flashback to 1978 and the female commentator says almost at the end of the program that the Soviet team hasn't gotten a response from the Skate Canada crowd, but then pan to the crowd clapping away as the male commentator notes the enthusiastic reaction. Wow, every time I watch old videos of Midori, I wonder how she is not a multiple-time World & Olympic champion. It makes me really sad. Nearly 20 years after her historic triple axel and there is still no one who can match the technical content she had at her very best. There needs to be a "we're not worthy" icon for Midori!
I just went through on my new account (after my account was deleted 2 weeks ago) and put the few videos I have uploaded again on private. Youtube is starting to really suck, and it's too much a P.I.T.A. to upload them all over and over again.
Out of curiosity sake, is there a time limit on copyright? Like, these vids from the 1970s or even earlier, does the copyright still exist on them? (It seems so, but just wondering if someone knows the real answer)
OMG, It's Julia Soldatova's Shower Curtain program!
??? shower curtain???
This performance alone is enough, IMO, to consider them one of the best ice dance teams ever.

How weird is it that I just watched this program last night, for the first time ever, a few hours after your post, but I hadn't looked at this thread at all? Freaky. But it is a simply marvelous dance (I adore the beginning), and I have just become a fan. Wouldn't mind if Charlie White turned into Gwendal after all. As long as he keeps the hair short!

Now I'm not so certain that Jimmy MacElroy's character was based on the stereotypes conjured up by Johnny Weir.

I miss her, I really hope we get to see her skate again soon.
Skate order may have hurt Elaine here. I don't think she was even in the next to last group for the SP, correct?
