Happy Easter, everyone!

I hope you all enjoy celebrate the end of your fast, if you fasted for Lent, and feast in celebration today.

I've just been for a midnight run, and am heading to The Great Wall to watch the sunrise, before coming back to Beijing and going to church. Then I'm having a big lunch at my place. I love Easter!

He is Risen!

Oh, KRAZY costumes are a big deal in SF for any occasion, large or small. ;)

There's also the Hunky Jesus (http://www.sfweekly.com/slideshow/hunky-jesus-contest-in-dolores-park-33120996/)contest for the sacrilegiously inclined. :saint:

And the angel answered and said unto the women: fear not ye, for I know that you seek Jesus, which was crucified.
He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead, and behold, he goeth before you into Galilee, there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy, and did run to bring his disciples word.
And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
Then said Jesus unto them, be not afraid; go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there they shall see me.

Matthew 28:5-10

Happy Easter! Our Easter Vigil last night lasted 3 hours! There were 4 people being baptized and our deacon was kind to them, not dunking them backwards all the way down into the water. One of our priests last year baptized a young woman, and she went all the way under the water. It was all very cute. I was especially impressed last night about one man, who was converting from Islam. He is from Iran and his wife is from Ecuador, and here they were in a little parish in Delaware. :)

Indeed!

Happy Easter everyone! Especially to the local Vicar and Church choir who were singing hymns in the large foyer of a local supermarket yesterday much to my surprise and delight!

Four hours, 13 (!) immersion baptisms and 8 confirmations at Vigil last night. The music was excellent, but I felt sorry for the Pastor who officiated. He was exhausted by the end of the bi-lingual Mass.

Allelulia! Happy Easter!
