I bet there are/will be many, many more.

For me its really werid, that he said his Carmen is better, when like understand other people must talk about this, no?
PJ tweet - it was Disney Carmen. Maybe it was too much, but this FD look generick for me, no?
And Riazanova-Tkachenko. Did you like there FD?

Not really. Yourself?
From what I've seen so far this season I'm only sold on W/P, B/S and of course V/M FD. CTV didn't show G/P or R/H FD anyone see them? I should probably go and search for them.

What was Igor going to say? Of course he tries to convey the idea that his program is better. I was less bothered about that than the insinuation that T&S aren't in shape, which is ridiculous.

Riazanova & Tkachenko's FD is okay, but nothing special. I think they've improved their skating a bit. Cappellini & Lanotte certainly did, with Igor. I wouldn't call their Carmen "Disney", it's just more traditional. There's more passion/emotion than sensuality.

just posting here something from Golden skate that will probably make you think a bit about Carmen. :)

It seems to me that Zueva has imagined the vision of Don Jose waiting his penatly (maybe execution) in the jail and thinking back the past, how Carmen won over him, making him losing his controll over his own life.....
That can be a reason of the demon-like image and the black-and-white contrast of the ice and costume ( memories are usually mentioned black-and-white in many movies as well.)

I think R-T skated the same FD the second year in row. So i cant tell nothing good about it. I dont like they did all old lifts, spin and i dont like they all time skating in Hand-in hand positions without difficult dancing holds. This help to have better speed, but for team of there level rthey need to show more (IMHO).
I like Gillis-Porie FD. Maybe i am only one, but they have original music, new lifts, and they play with audience really great.

I cant tell this without seen then "live". On TV Carron-Jones skated really well at SC.
And i think C-L is generic/ But look like could bring them good results this season. Will see. They could really dance, so SD look good even if i dont like this music at all. So i cant understand, why they didnt choose something more dancing for FD.

No you're not the only one I just watched it. It's good. really like their lifts. They seem so dorky together but in a good way:) R/H I'm disappointed don't like the music and the program is not enough for them to get noticed or get ahead of G/P. It's a shame they had a good showing at Worlds and I really liked their material last season and I like them.

Excuse my French, but Igor is an asshole. To me what he said did come across as a dig to V/M and the fact that he's not answering the question about whether he knew Tessa and Scott were skating to Carmen says it all.

I'm so glad they did hallelujah, such a beautiful program! I love these two so much and the British commentators feel the same way (I thought the guy was kinda getting emotional after their ex performance). And so was Tracy Wilson after their FD.

Is there anybody here that understands Chinese? I want to know what the commentators are saying.

They were pretty much silent the entire time. I loved it!

I wanted to say something to those who are offended by the "explicitness" of this program.

Debasing this program by saying it’s pornography shows you how hypocritical society is. They have sex, they enjoy it, but when sex is represented in any form of art, they immediately reject it. Now, I don’t mean to have the talk with you, but I feel the need to remind you that sex is not pornography. It’s funny because that is how people, be it Don Josť himself and people from the village reacted to Carmen: a woman they labeled as a prostitute, but they envied fiercely.

Carmen uses her allure and her sexuality to dominate, no, to subdue even. She knows the power she holds by being a woman, something not many women knew then and, certainly, not many do now. The fact that she’s a seductress doesn’t mean she’s debasing her genre, no, it’s the deep understanding she has that she is irresistible what makes her so powerful. She fights the system and, in a way, wins because even though he kills her in his rage, he is the monster, he’s the one who loses his self.

What Tessa did yesterday was spectacular: she became Carmen. She became that mad, lusty woman who knows no boundaries. Carmen, often objectified, turned the tables and it was Don Josť who became the object. Do you see the brilliance of it? So it shows a great deal of ignorance to describe it as pornographic. I wonder, though, what kind of sex do this people have to consider something like that pornography? I would assume they don’t even touch, mind sex maybe? I would advise them to check the opera, even read the novel to understand that the concept behind this program is spot on.

Again, Carmen cannot be this alluring gypsy girl who goes from town to town batting her eyelashes and moving her hips seductively, no way. Carmen is bold and forward, she sees an object she wants, she goes for it. If that offends you today, in 2012, then, my goodness, I do feel so sorry for you.
