The feed was so bad during the SD practice, I basically couldn't make out anything. Except the music, but I've already stated my love for that.

They did so little of the SD, it's hard to tell much at all. I thought the twizzles looked really good though, and I really like their non-touching step sequence.

Thanks. I think my problem right now is trying to adjust to the perkiness of that after the excitement of Carmen :D

But their skating skills in the step sequences (SD and FD) are looking so sharp already.

This is a beautifull SD. Anthony Hopkins will be thrilled that they are going to perform it so beautifullly.........Love that last lift :). Tessa creates such beautiful expression with just her arms nevermind all the rest. Scott is amazing as usual with his partnering skills.........

They stopped after a few steps. They did the polka at the end of the practice session, and they also repeated the twizzles (very well done, especially the second time).

Thanks. Video still buffering for me. I guess my internet connection is as tired as I am. Maybe I'll just wait for the real thing. :)

Sahara, I thought you were going to bed lol. I haven't seen the practice video of Carmen, but I've seen a few pics...look at this http://photography.ice-dance.com/2012-13/cache/12SC/DPractTham/12SC-DPractTham-0415-VM-MH_595.jpg

Ice-dance.com has some very interesting photos from the FD practice.

I really love these two:

Oops, Shayii had already posted a link. It's very late here, difficult to process things after all the excitement.:)

sahararainfall..I liked the meds joke.. The sex jokes will be inevitable , anyway, so..bring 'em on... The thing is, the exquisite skating is there.. and the sexiness is really like a force of nature.. not Morozov-grungy..

:D Not for everybody though, the joke I mean. Yes the exquisite dance and skating was there, but was so surprised with the sexiness. I was expecting something else, dreading something else actually. It was kind of mind numbing to realize that your greatest fear is not going to happen but instead your going to get something special. I meant it when I said that I was really scared that they may go too dramatic and lose their identity as dancers. Like Shayii feared, that they would do something they are not. But they are still dancers and more. Hope that made sense. Can't really function now.

I decided to wait for the SD, must as well stay awake for that. But shutting down now. shutting down...:)

How are the VM virgins who were going to wait for the actual program and were not to see the practices making out?

Not well. I really shouldn't be reading this thread, but I had hoped to see Cherub state he/she watched the program so I could totally break my word. I'm also wondering if my promise to abstain includes SD practice. I'm also wondering how much I hate all of you who didn't join me :D (as well as my own startling lack of willpower, though holding strong so far). I'm rather irritated at the universe for letting Moir get injured before Finlandia because I think it's clear we needed this program sooner.

We can all watch and re-watch on behalf of you abstainers. ( Oh, you're going to be thrilled ! )

Should be their SD practice coming right up.

Thank you for the new thread, IoanaC! and thanks for the title, m_chenning!

Bahahahaha, Sahararainfall! I really got a kick out of your posts!

trying so hard to stay with Cherub721, Proustable, and Shayii, but I don't know if I have the willpower...especially after reading all your comments, which have been awesome, btw. will try to resist the temptation to take a peek...

aka_gerbil, I, too, am sorry about your grandmother. She is lucky to have you, and I think it is really nice that you can share skating with her. I hope you both enjoy the SD:)

and sequins, I watch Tessa and Scott with my mom too, and she is quite proper. I am interested to see her reaction to some of the moves that have been described here, lol, but she adores this music (and V&M).

thank you so much to marikat for posting all the vids to tempt us;) seriously, though, I really appreciate all the links you provide for us here. I am sorry you were unable to catch V&M at Finlandia.

thanks also to iggie for your amazing blog--I just love the breadth of information available there--I have not seen another blog like it. You really get at so many different aspects of their skating.

and Emdee, I can't wait to see the banner! Thank you for doing that! and thanks to pani and jl22aries for providing the photo and slogan respectively.

Welcome Tracer, browning, and all the other newbies, and welcome back/to the new season everyone else! can't wait to read your thoughts on the programs!
