Virtue and Moir #21 - Carry On as the Waltz Goes On

I'm not to worried. They can get the technical issues straightened out to get the levels they need. I really loved the program though I thought they skated beautifully and the music is gorgeous. Once they get the tech issues sorted I think the program will be do really well in competition. I love the storyline this could be one of my favorite SD's from them.

You know, my favourite V/M SD is still their waltz-tango from the first season. It was such a terrific piece of of portraiture and even though they only skated it twice, they skated it quite well. The non-touch step sequence is to die for. This one ranks second. I don't think Zoueva quite gets the format as perfectly as she does the OD, but frankly, it's not as good a format as the OD anyway.

I agree about the "Days and Nights" SD and I think I'm going to love this one just as much.:)

Did C/L really beat them in the levels at the 2008 FD - which they won over Delobel/Schoenfelder? I had no idea. That was a fabulous skate for them.

I think in practice T-S look not slow. Not sure about SD - we need to see it at arena. But i am sure Capellini wasnt faster V-M and her steps is small. But you could see this only at arena, on TV C-L look very good.
I like the begining of T-S SD - she play unusual girl and she moves so great :)

I hope they don't change that SD too much, it is stunningly beautiful. If the lift bothers them, fine, change it. But it is a matter of improving those levels. I didn't find them slow, but I was not there. Anyone there who could tell us if they lacked speed?

Someone mentioned that their TES was not enough to qualify for Worlds. Is this true? I'm not worried about this because I don't see them scoring such a low TES again *knock on wood*, but I'm curious.

I've watched the SD like 5 times and I still don't see where he hits her. Can someone pinpoint it?

Nvm, I see where he hits her, still can't see it actually happen - hope footage comes up.

This footage (I think at the 52-55 sec mark) gives a slightly better angle, still not as good as a camera angle as the recap during the live telecast.

I agree with you. I think they could change lift - dont care about this and work on there leveks, but hope they will save this choreo. Unusuall body moves from Tessa - love it. ;)
And i am sure they wiil work on speed and power, like they always made during the season and this SD will look different.
Did they need to show there maxinmum now? I dont think so.
By the way, i like what Anna said, when she was asked they are so close to World champions :) Yes, good luck to them all.
