Scott looked a little off but said his neck was fine. They were disappointed, of course, but said it's time to see what the judges thought and go back and work on what needs to be done. You could see the sadness though.

That could've rattled them. I LIKE the PCS, though. Just technical stuff.

Yeah, but the technical stuff needs work and they only have one week to practice between this and CoR.

It affected Tessa going into that first spin she does right at the start, she seemed slightly unsteady for a few seconds.

I'm getting that Scott was really knocked for a loop because of hitting Tessa.......I think it may have distracted both of them. You can be sure that won't happen again. It looks like he felt really terrible about it, and it probably took her some time to recover, but their training kicked in for the most part to get them through it.

Really so if they change the lift & make sure Scott keeps his arms to himself then they would have been alot higher?

We do not know what happened. I think he got scared when he hit her. Let's calm down, see how things are tomorrow. I think the judges were harsh, but I'll need to watch it again.

You do not expect to hit your partner, that must scare you.

:( They need to recover for tomorrow...

That's like a bucket of cold water after yesterday's party.

Wasn't perfect but I love it. The lift was a big problem they got stuck. I knew when I saw it in practice it could be risky/awkward but that's why we love em'. There was more deductions of course but not sure on what exactly. Stupid Rod Black says just because Scott grimaced a bit 'OH looks like he's in pain.' Sara (the interviewer) asked Scott he said he's fine. In the beginning of the program Tessa flips her head and Scott's hand/fist was there and knocked her in the face. he felt bad, said it was hard to be romantic after punching his partner. Poor soul:). Anyway about the costumes I do like them but not crazy on the white part of Tessa's dress, kinda wish it was blue as well(nitpickin' i know).

5 (coherent) thoughts I had while watching this

2. The controversy? It's not because it's explicit (though it certainly is for them). It's because you believe it. That's what shocks me more. Instead of generic-diva-posing masquerading as choreography, you have a vividly sensational piece. Love-lust-betrayal-envy-power-sex-cruelty-violence-madness..... whoa.

You've explained it perfectly. It's believable that's what makes it so woohoo! and :swoon:and:kickass:

How the heck did D&W get 71 at SA for that SD when it was not even that good?

They hit the levels. They skated well.

The bright side about tonight is that T&S's PCS are higher.

I can't see how the judges were particularly harsh, unless you disagree with the levels assigned to the skaters. The level of the lift can be explained by a noticeable error, but I am concerned that seemingly "cleanly" performed elements by V&M did not achieve the highest levels, esp. the footwork.

Loved their polka sequence, but again I am concerned this may be another season where they struggle to meet all the levels in the CD pattern.

Are you serious? You want to start this now? Look, they hit their levels; VM did not. That's what you do in this sport. End of story.

Thanks guys. :( Now I'm worried for tomorrow, I hope mentally they'll be ok. To make myself feel better I'll watch the FD practice and let you guys know what I think (man, after holding off for so long...)
