I never watched the show during it's original run (as you can probably figure out by seeing my age on my profile :P), but I'm thinking M*A*S*H is one such show? Obviously the show was on for a long time, and they had various vast changes, Frank Burns out, Charles in, Trapper John, etc. But overall, my impression from watching reruns that the show overall was pretty solid throughout it's entire run, and of course, the series finale is legendary.

What other shows never jumped the shark?

Arrested Development. Which, as excited as I am about the new season on Netflix, it does make me a little nervous

I never thought LOST jumped the shark. I know not everyone stayed on board or liked the ending but it was always amazing television for me. I miss that show so much.

Great example! Can't believe I forgot about that one.

I saw the thread title and immediately thought of Arrested Development.

WKRP in Cinncinati was still fresh and inventive when it was cancelled.

I will be surprised and pleased if anyone else has seen this show - Cashing In (http://www.cashingintv.com/).

It lasted just three seasons on APTN in Canada. I don't think it jumped the shark, though I do think that either

a) the writers all did hard drugs in preparation for writing Season 3, or

b) the writers from Season 2 were all thrown off a cliff and their eville yet equally talented dopplegangers were hired to write Season 3.

Frasier jumped the shark when Nils and Daphne finally hooked up, IMO. Or maybe just before that when Nils married his second wife.
