Matt Savoie 2006 US Nationals
Did you mean 2005 US Nationals? Matt fell in the short program at 2006 Nationals (but more than made up for it with his great freeskate! :D)

You could be right. I was so taken by Matt's LP that I may have forgotten his SP, and thought it was great (other than the fall, it was).

I knew I was forgetting something when I made the list in the OP. Definitely Kwan's Rach in 98- it could be my most favorite Kwan SP.

Katarina Witt's Hungarian program at the '84 Olys. The brilliance of that program was underplayed by the US media, so fixated on Roz and Elaine (and Tiffany).

Heh. I know, Frau, I am a major fan of this program. After Chin's brilliant performance, Witt somehow got the judges to forget about it. Must have been that head flick during the step sequence. But what was up with all the ruffles? That costume was ghastly.

Rahkamo/Kokko's quickstep in 1995.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Lulu's Spring Breeze from 96 Worlds...

Beautiful.

I would add Lulus 1994 and 95 SPs, in addition to Spring Breeze. All masterpieces.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Maria Butryskaya's "Scene d' Amour" program: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVt3I4IL18s

I also think Tara Lipinski's "Little Women" program was the perfectly suited for her at age 14: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-Vqo4EHKJ8

Vanessa Gusmeroli's "The Mask" program also gets high marks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_oBT_2NZ3U (would still score well under COP)

And don't laugh, but I think Nancy Kerrigan's program from 1992 was memorable for it's costume, cleanliness, and choreography: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5v6qwtKRKeM
