Weren't they the ones who told Flatt to cut her hair soccer-mom style?

if they indeed told her that, they overstepped their bounds imho

Great example…if only they would have stuck to letting the skaters continue with their pointless activities that year instead of spending time on giving out personal styling advice, it would have been a win-win situation

All that really matters is that the skaters enjoyed themselves because none of us are really affected by the USFS group exercises.
If you look at the videos more carefully, some of the skaters don't look to be having all that much fun.

I don't see anything too authoritarian about teaching teenagers how to see and understand what flatters them and what doesn't and how to put on their makeup. Meryl Davis could give that class, her eyes always look so amazing. Maybe Weir could hook them up with the MAC people.

I remember there were people on this board who said Rachael should get rid of her ponytail and cut her hair because it would get rid of the immature look and make her look more elegant.

And judging from the videos, the goal was achieved: indeed, fun was had! :cheer:

Yes, but DaveRocks, rhythmic gymnastics is a LADY SPORT!!! Now people might think that some figure skaters are gay. THE HORROR!

Exactly. Makeup classes, on the other hand, are butch!

Right! Manly makeup classes! Taught by Johnny Weir.

I'm all for having fun, but the words "team building" bring me out in hives. :scream:

And they were right. Unfortunately Rachael decided to go to a terrible hairdresser who made her look even less stylish.

Here we go again....and her "less stylish" hairstyle really effected the way she skated(?)..........

Rachael (along with at least 20 other girls) should just ditch the OTB tights, her hair looks fine.

Well...it made her rather "less stylish" skating even more "less stylish" to put it mildly...:slinkaway

It didn't. It just made her look terrible. :)

I can't imagine why every thread at some point devolves into a "Rachael is ugly" thread. God, it's tiring.
