Strange that Zach is there but Madison isn't. I noticed she wasn't in the group pic at the beginning of the week and no sign of her at the team building either.

Wonder if she's injured

Or a better photographer. It's nice to have photos, but it would be nicer if they weren't blurry.

Or a better cellphone camera :) If one's cellphone takes blurry still pictures in a bright room then it's time to ditch it.

Madison's self designed dress is

Looks like she made some changes since Lake Placid: (bottom of page) (http://photography.ice-dance.com/2012-13/12LPIDC/Sr/SDB/)

Team building Team USA through rhythmic gymnastics.

What a waste of time. Who comes up with this nonsense?

Apart from the general pointlessness of "team building" in an individual sport, isn't it kind of insulting to make the guys do a sport internationally recognized only as a girls sport? I mean, do these folks stay up nights thinking of things that can earn male skaters even more ridicule? I think the guys should have just turned it into dodgeball.

The USFS never ceases to amaze me at the overall level of amateurishness in their operations (not just their cameras). It still employs too many folks who function at the level of a kindergarten teacher. (No insult to teachers intended, but these athletes are not 5 year olds.)

I think you're missing the sense of improvisation and fun that is associated with this "challenge." These people train hard, I'm sure they welcome any excuse to get silly. Having fun does help individuals to bond together. Even though there are separate skating disciplines within figure skating, all these skaters represent the U.S. as a team, and could surely benefit from supporting one another.

So, Evan came for his individual picture, then he left. Even if injured he couldn't stay for the fun, camaraderie and team building, like Alissa did? Guess he's his own team. Sorry, snark.

Now, now, PLEASE don't interrupt a good Evan snark, how rude of you to suggest he might be other than a self-involved jerk. Don't spoil it for all the people here getting off on pointing out that he didn't come to the camp...um...only came to shoot individual photos and not participate in team activities...oh...never mind... :P

Good to know that the Evan haters and detractors are still eager to contribute to the FSU environment! Enjoy! :blah:
