Doesn't sound like figure skating is on it's radar.

Blue Ant Media is a privately held integrated Canadian media company that creates and distributes great content in lifestyle, travel, documentary, music and entertainment categories.

Damn.

Bold wasn't all (or even mostly?) sports either. But yeah, not holding my breath. :( Crap.

Does anyone have an email address for Blue Ant? Maybe we can all send them emails telling them how much we are looking forward to watching figure skating on bold again this year. If enough of us do it, maybe they'll get the hint and pick it up!

I think this is a great idea! The only reason I subscribe to Bold!

It is also the only reason I had subscribed to Bold. I am waiting to be certain figure skating will not be televised on Bold, and dumping the channel if that is the case.

To telecast figure skating on Bold, Blue Ant would need to purchase permission from either CTV, CBC, or both (if broadcast rights are split between national/international). If CTV or CBC charges too much, Blue Ant may opt not to have figure skating on Bold. CTV and CBC may also be reluctant to make that agreement if they feel it would be taking potential viewers away from their channels. Blue Ant could offer figure skating, if it were part of the original Bold purchase agreement. Of course, they may not care enough about figure skating to consider it for their programming.

I hope that doesn't affect the coverage on cbcsports.ca. :(
