Starts in just over an hour. I've got to go out tonight, but will catch up later. :)

new orleans rose just gave a sort of half hearted shimmy dance, not meant to be done or seen sober

california rose's interview is longer than the average 60 minutes feature

Feirm Factor (http://www.tg4.ie/en/programmes/feirm-factor/home.html) (feirm is the Irish for farm)

Watched the roses last night (and fast forwarded through the "talent" segments :scream: ) and they were a bit of a disappointing crop. Don't think we've seen the winner. Let's hope tonight is better

since talent is optional, not sure why any of them opted for it. i guess it cant hurt.

It probably doesn't bear it, but here's some "analysis" (http://blog.paddypower.com/2012/08/20/analysis-blondes-dont-have-more-fun-at-the-rose-of-tralee/) on what it takes to win from the contest.

Itís just something we like.
A beauty pageant thatís not about beauty.
Itís twee, patronising, old-fashioned and on the fringes of offensive. But itís great.
Like thinking 11 degrees Celsius is acceptable shorts and t-shirt weather and mild alcohol poisoning is the barometer of a good night out, it looks bizarre to the outside world, but to us, it makes perfect sense. Cringe-worthy yet oddly compelling, it takes a strong will or a good liar to say they wonít be flicking over to RTE for even a few minutes this Monday and Tuesday.

dont you think kerry has a chance being that she's local, she's a dr and her father died in the last 12 mo which probably made for a better story than germany's randy air hostess stories?

You sure learn interesting things like the Ontario rose whose family had 400 acres and 40 dairy cows. I live in Wisconsin, 40 dairy cows would rank as a hobby, they could get by with 80.

I was thinking that 40 cows on 400 acres wasn't a lot when I was watching it last night.

Perth is up first and she looks like she's off to a toga party.

The singing is painful. Perth just murdered "songbird". No wonder her mother is crying. :scream:

Tyrone was sporting ringlets in one of her introductory photos so I'm guessing we're going to get some irish dancing.

And more morbid dead Rose stories tonight. :yikes:
