His coach should have advised him to let someone else who wasn't injured compete in his place.

Hall has the right to believe whatever he wants, and train the way he wants. This should not make him an ideal subject for derision.

I think the mocking is in regards to his naiveté, not his religious beliefs.

He's the one putting it out there. If he doesn't want people to comment on it, then he should keep it to himself.

Isn't having an omnipotent supreme being as your coach an unfair advantage? If performance enhancing drugs are illegal, shouldn't divine intervention be as well?

Is WADA to be expanded to World Anti-Deity Agency as well? How would one be tested for actual divine help? Is Living Saint to be an official of the agency?

Since he didn't win, I'm guessing there's no omnipotence involved. ;) Unless God didn't want him to win, in which case, dude, your coach is backing someone else. That's a conflict of interest. Get a different coach.
