Oh, she wouldn't have been anywhere near the podium anyway. I was just answering the earlier question about whether or not she 'blew it.' She made some mistakes, and probably would have finished 6th if she were clean (maybe 5th for a super-hit routine?).

Gabby will probably be better off for Beam. It's hard to come back down after your dreams came true. The US woman have been on a media and VIP rush with the Team and AA Gold. Her Score for AA was the best she could have done on Bars any way so she wouldn't have medaled even with a hit.

I originally was all Beth but when the UK really started the medal haul I switched to the Russians. I wasn't upset about MM last night because I want to "spread the love" and Mustafina is such a worthy champion. I have hopes to see Komova medal before all is said and done and if not I am convinced she will be a world champion very soon.

Could't find news in english so far, but I just saw on tv that Larisa replaced Diana in beam final. Diana said it is her decision because she knows Larisa has a shot at the podium.

Very happy with today :) that's a great UB podium, props to He Kexin. I was one of the most vocal over her making the team, and both her and Paseka proved they more than deserved their spots. Aliya Mustafina is an Olympic Champion and Beth Tweddle finally has her medal. :)

Did anybody else see that Iordache is now in the beam final? That is going to be an insane BB final.

Just watched the UB final.

Mustafina is just BYUUUTIFUL! I think she may be my favourite gymnast. So happy for her - she NAILED that.

Massive :respec: to He Kexin. I don't think anyone expected her to win a silver medal here - I didn't even expect her to make the team about four months ago, but she nailed all three of her routines, and becomes the first Chinese female gymnast ever to win a medal at two Olympics!! Good for her! :D

A real shame about Beth's dismount, and hers isn't my favourite work, but I am so happy for her to win an Olympic medal. She should be so proud.

I also really enjoyed Yao Jinnan's UBs; such a high quality final meant it was going to be tough for her, but I'm pleased she was able to smile after her nightmare so far.

This is what she said. I don't know if that is true or not. She said she took this decision after the team finals(where Larisa was very good). She also said Larisa promised her that if she wins a medal she will share it with her.Mariana Bitang praised her for her character.:rolleyes:
I really hope Larisa will :kickass: like I know she is capable of, she had a nightmare of a competition and such bad luck!
