There's something really old school about Gonzalez Sepulveda. And I don't mean just his mustache. His floor routine was great, with real choreography and a throw back to the 80s. I really enjoyed it.

Plus the combination of the mustache and the eyebrow ring is tres cool, IMO.

I liked this podium, Tweddle made her bronze feel like a gold, now that is how you retire! :D

Just realized Mustafina has won a gold, silver and bronze at these games. Awesome! So happy for her!

I was thinking about that too. That is amazing for any athlete. More so with her injury being less than 18 months ago. Remarkable.

I wonder if they'll get Beth's name right from now on?

Is this for real?

When she invented what she called was her 'wow' move on the asymmetric bars -- a maneuver in which she grabs the bar with her hands crossed -- the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) rewarded her by naming it after her.

Except, it is called 'the Tweedle'.

Agreed. Sometimes being a throw back is a very good thing. Like when you have good form and composition. And the fact that so many people are irked by the mustache makes me .

She really is the heart of the Russian team...

Got home just in time for vault, had to watch bars on my phone on the train! Was so nervous for Beth I didn't know what to do! I made strange noises during her routine, I guess everybody thought I was nuts:p
Can't believe her landing let her down again...but at least she got a medal! So so so so happy for her!

Now rooting for the mustache, just for the sake of it! And when will I get my Ukraine medal?

Kozci bailed on his 2nd vault, did just a 1.5 twist, but I don't think the judges caught it at all?? He was supposed to do a 2.5 and was still credited with a 7.0 vault.

Koczi 16.0333 average. Good job, colt!

Thomas is so much taller than everyone else. And, my NBC feed just switched to water polo. Anyone else?
