The board is showing the score for her 1st vault instead of the average I think.

Shades of Cheng Fei at Beijing. I don't think anyone will cry foul for Maroney's medal like they did for Cheng's though. I'm glad she was still able to hold on for silver...here's to 4 years of Maroney domination in vault ending with gold in Rio

You have to give Izbasa credit for taking advantage of her opportunities. Cheng Fei in FX at Beijing, now Maroney in vault here.

So disappointed. All McKayla had to do was land on her feet & the gold medal was hers.

:fragile: for Maroney who was a complete bag of nerves (and probably in a lot of pain?). Somehwere Sacramone is crying into her cornflakes at the gold medal that was calling her name.

Silver with a splat is hilarious!

Heck, even bronze was tripe.

Berger was absolutely robbed...but then she had awful feet. PML......no one deserved anything, and gold with a DTY! Cripes! :lol:

This is just...bizarre. I had a horrible, horrible feeling she was going to not do well on her second feeling just because she had that slight initial hesitation before take-off for the second vault.
