Could be.

A colleague of mine taught Phelps in a class at Michigan. Let's just say that Phelps almost achieved the record for the *lowest* grade ever.

Oh, I'd bet he did. I would never claim that Phelps was book smart but he certainly comes across as more articulate than Ryan. Although Phelps had no reason to go to college so he was also in the process of figuring that out while at Michigan.

It's common knowledge that he has a learning disability (ADHD).

He can hire people to spell for him. He's a multimillionaire and his fees will go up after this week. And, his Mama will keep an eye on the accountants.

I never said he needed to spell. Just that he's much more attractive when he's silent. :shuffle:

NBC yakkers picking Aly's vault apart.

Fatwig being useless with his comments as usual...

******

Tim with a big "Ooooooooh" about Komova's vault, especially the landing with all of those steps.

Fishwig asking if Komova opened a medium or big door with her mistake . I can't believe his dumb ass gets paid the big bucks to make such utterly stupid comments on National TV.

And Tom Hammond isn't any worse when he does figure skating at the Olympics?

Deng Linlin looks like the youngest 20 year old ever.

Mustafina is sooooo serious, smile honey.

Meh. She's got a life time to smile. This is a serious moment!

I take back my comment about balanced commentary.

"But she (Mustafina) is not capable of doing this vault (Amanar)"

yeah, this might be a good time to mention her torn ACL... which you would have done in a heartbeat if it was a US gymnast.

So...out of curiosity, are Leyva and Le Clos the only athletes in the Games that have fathers?

I'm so tired of this wanna-be Hunger Games knock-off.

I was thinking about this when Clary was pulling his "I'm not famous so I'll talk shit about Michael" thing. Michael was at Michigan when Clary trained with him so he was on his way to eight gold medals at the time. Whatever he did obviously worked. I was thinking that, for someone with ADHD like Phelps, training the way that someone without ADHD trains might be a totally wrong approach.

That's a good point. I didn't even think of that when he made the comment. I just thought he was a douche for thinking he was "exposing" Phelps when no one really gives a sh*t how he trains, just what he puts out in competition.

If I wasn't happy for Soni in her own right, I'd be happy that her winning meant we got more shots of :swoon: Ricky.
