I'm clearly insane.

I know the outcome, but I was still hoping for a different ending.

Why must I be such a nutball optimist.

I've seen Romeo and Juliet like 50 times and I still think that she'll make the smart choice and tell her dad to eff off because she's going to Mantua when he tells her that he'll disown her if she doesn't marry Paris.

I wonder if the US were in the same position as Ukraine would NBC devote hours of coverage to it.

It sucks that I have to work and can't watch in real time because the NBC broadcast is a hot mess.

We gymnastics and skating fans and the athletes and families who take part are a glutton for punishment.

I'm going to stop watching this at night. I barely did- I waited until almost the very end so that I could see GB on floor. And even with that low dose, I'm flabbergasted at the idiotic trio.

They'd probably have done it if it were Canada! /SLC

If the US were in the same position the resulting scandal would make Salt Lake look like a cakewalk.

Now that I've seen the tape, I too agree that didn't look like a handstand. I buy that maybe Kohei did hit the position for a nanosecond, but if you are going to review routines that way, you might as well doublecheck every one in the last rotation. It's such a slippery slope

I also like Kohei and I hope he kicks butt in the AA

I guess Horton just did a good HB routine during Purvis' floor.

All three of the US guys did quite well on HB, actually. Just too late in the event to make a difference. :(

Very exciting for Great Britain though!

Maybe Al would explode and we would never have to hear his bloviating again.

I don't think the US would be in the same position as Ukraine.

:konspiracy: Ukraine is not a strong team this quadrant, and they're a fed with no money or pull. Had the US been in the third spot, I'll bet you all of Dick's dollars to donuts they'd have told the Japanese where they could put that inquirey.

Yes, this is my konspiracy theory of the Olys. Everyone gets one :sekret: at the Olys (this number may increase at my total arbitrary discretion). Let me stop you now: your attempts at reason will be met with increasingly lunatic posts.

I don't think Al would care that much.

Daggett would go all Scott Hamilton, but I honestly don't think Al gives much of a flip about gymnastics, esp. men's gym.

Would have been nice to actually see it.
