Ah the fabulousness of Lyudmila Pakhomova! You youngsters don't remember her, but millions do! Too soon gone at 39.

She is truly among the stars.

Pakhomova was a DIVA -- I love watching her! And she's a pioneer of sorts in that she and Gorshkov won the first ever Ice Dance Olympic Gold Medal. They definitely should stay for another round. :)

I'd vote off Grishuk & Platov before Pakhomova & Gorshkov.

I voted for Pakhomova & Gorshkov. As great as she was, he was an incredibly weak skater and that kind of ruined them as a team for me somewhat.

I'm guilty of voting off Pakhomova and Gorshkov because I've never seen them.. plus I can't vote A&P off yet..

I like to think that Pakhomova's stupendous diva-ness was more than enough to compensate for any and all of Gorshkov's shortcomings. :lol:

But the "third leg" kind of male partner was what was the done thing at the time; Gorshkov was no weaker than any of the others.
