It's really annoying that Maia and Alex are being announced as former US junior champions instead of as World Bronze Medalists. Did the organizers repress this fact or something?

And this is an especially unfortunate outfit on Nastia. Is this one from the tour?

"More R5 When we return!" That feels like threat. Dear lord.

I am more than tired of this band and we are NOT seeing enough of the gymnasts who are way bigger stars than this group will ever be. What a generic sound they have and they have no charisma what so ever. Disson continues to suck with these productions.

/end rant :wall:

Dear generic bands of the world: Lyrics, they don't have to be this stupid. I promise.

At least we got to see a fair amount of Meryl and Charlie.

Meryl and Charlie's skating makes the band seem better than it really is. They are always good.

How many preemptions are there for this program? Here in DC the affiliate showing a Redskins special :angryfire & MLK special, and apparently in Houston they're showing paid programming :scream: I wonder if some affiliates can't show it for some reason.

$$$$$

They can opt out of some of the "cheese" events and if they think they can sell ads on Redskins or get a paid progem for more $$$$ cheesefests are not shown.

I am 57 years old and as far as TPTB on television and radio go, not only do I no longer exist, but no one over 25 does, either. This show had some of the most boring skating music I have ever witnessed. Oh wait, Disson is having Barry Manilow on for the 417th time on an upcoming show. I guess that is supposed to satisfy dinosaurs like myself. Maybe I will start muting the skating and putting Pink Floyd on while watching. At least Nationals should have some musical interpretation. These days to see artistry, you have to watch competitions!

I watched it only out of loyalty to some of the Stars who I'm a fan of. It was a cheesefest all the way but these days there's not much out there for top skaters pro-wise and even less for gymnasts.
