I was just coming to post that link!

Some of the positions they're hitting in those pics are just amazing.

I also love that lift in the first pic. 3 also has a pretty high wow factor. I also think Tessa's position in the spin in picture 6 is pretty cool.

Yummy !..This must be Carmen , then...Some of those positions definitely have the feel of the Roland Petit ballet choreography ( I don't mean copy , I mean on the same wavelength )

Tessa says in the interview that they tried to have all new lifts, spins and steps. That it is hard because of all the rules and restrictions but that they are trying their best to be creative and come up with new elements.

thanks so much...here an example from the ballet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBwAbrB8R0E&feature=youtube_gdata_player. music is the excerpt from act I when Carmen seduce Josè in order to escape.. fantastic scene, with the implicit eroticism of her being tied and then set to freedom with the promise of... well, love :D if they use this scene, they could mimic the laces that tie Carmen first, and José during the whole story.

The most important thing -hope tech specialist will not give them lower levels for innovative lifts.
Please, made someone new thread :)

A lyric from Carmen would be cool. Maybe some French speakers could offer ideas. :)

Going back to the SD music, I can't find an mp3 version for purchase in the US, so I'm going to have to order the CD. Anyway, the piece was just released last year, so it's pretty likely that no one else has ever skated to it before.

I guess that's the theme for the year: something never skated to before, something skated to more than anything else...

Not sure if anyone's posted a response to this. I found it on iTunes .. it's on Andre Rieu's album called appropriately "And The Waltz Goes On" released November 2011.
