does anyone know the date of the canadian camp? sigh...
i hope the split is not creating real troubles to Tessa and Scott.. for example, programs that don't do them justice, and lower levels. who knows if the split will have effects political-wise. in the meanwhile, Spilband camp is doing a nice pr campaign. maybe Canton team should watch out and do some pr too.

Like SC post - second week-end of September. Too long :D Politicaly Igor have now more good coaches from different countries, help from Russian and Italian Federations, so... But at this point his teams coudnt be competitors for Tessa and Scott, but in future all could happened.

I worry about all of this as well--the programs, the levels, the politics, etc.

The only thing to do about it right now is to wait and worry and see how it all turns out once things get going this season.

We're never gonna hear any music news! Well not really I'm just bored out of my mind right now, endless summer (http://vimeo.com/43858734) days. Anyways if anything we'll just have to wait until Skate Canada to see what they use lol.

Welcom, D-W thread police :lol:Why only i dont care what you post in D-W thread?

No one is being thread police. It's just  when you bring other skaters up and then post about how this is the V/M thread.

Actually I am going to bring up D&W too!
I totally agreed with a poster in the DW or Champs Camp thread who said that it was kind of strange that D?W? made a statement about phony relationships and then were posing in a pretty loving manner. I thought it strange too that they had posed in that fashion . I have always noticed that even after their programs there is not the closeness of most pairs or ice dance couples. In the Olys it was surprising to see C catching his breath on the floor and M standing by herself for a whole minute when they finished the program.

OK I have these two thoughts out in the open now..... the Olys picture I always found very strange.

But seriously though who cares? I honestly don't think it's a big deal whether people pose one way or another in a picture or whether they hug/kiss after a performance, you know. But whatevs that's just my opinion. I'm more anxious to hear about music news tbh.

I dont either - but it was just strange that they would avow something and do the opposite... IMO

I think the problem is Davis talking in negative light about phony relationships from other teams, but then try to play in love on photos. Thats all.
As for music - its very BIG secrete
Thanks for video!

Honestly now i am more interesting in what W-P will show in FD. It could be really "step up" in ice dancing if this idea will look good on ice. Unfortunately nobody from Zoueve group couldnt made something like this. :(

OT: So I saw this movie last night called One Day. It's about best friends that loved each other but not "like that," even though they secretly did love each other "like that;" by the time they figured it out it was too late...so sad. Anyways it was the main theme from the movie that got to me, it's so ethereal and light and so so beautiful, I thought of Tessa and Scott and I felt like it's something right up their alley. I wanted to know if you guys feel like it is too. The score is called We Had Today and here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZNwIxHiA1M

How could i know why?

But this is V-M thread.
I was wonder to read Morgalio is working on polka with Zoueva teams. What do you think about this? I could imaging Klimova could be a good coach for CDs, but Maurizio.... Look like werid choice for me

It seemed strange to me at first pani, but on thinking about it:

1. Margaglio is a tech specialist. He has had to be trained on the latest version of the SD rules, which are pretty scary. Basically, to get the level for a key point, you both have to do the step as described, and now you have to have the timing as well. If you watched Monko & Khaliavin back in juniors, they used to get level 4 on the pattern dance while never being on the correct beat. That isn't happening now.

If you look at the SD protocols from JGP Courchevel, you see something like this:
http://www.isuresults.com/results/jgpfra2012/jgpfra2012_JuniorIceDance_SD_Scores.pdf1Bl3
These are Papadakis's & Cizeron's grades.
2BL3+kpNYY
1BL1+kpTTT

Notice they lost all 3 of 4 levels for the first blues sequence for T=timing. That's a huge penalty. Last year, even for a severe timing problem, teams lost maybe one point.

This costs 3 points.

It is a good idea to have a tech specialist in camp, I think

Well, you know pani can never miss an opportunity to remind us all that D/W are evil incarnate. ;)

scary indeed. I wonder, what is the purpose of tightening ice dance in all these requirements and penalties? having to focus on the tiniest technical details must be frustrating and might result in less space for the performance side. emoting and staying in the character is already so difficult and energy-consuming. I'm not sure the sport needs rules like those.

I went to the CNE today. Saw T&S's programs. They appeared very relaxed. The show was not as crisp as stars on ice was - I guess two shows a day takes its toll on them. And most other performers werent up to snuff. Trampoline performers were also good.

Was supposed to meet Misha there but didnt see her. I kept a seat for her and then gave it up to someone else.

Tried some gross food and finally enjoyed a lobster roll from the gourmet food trucks.

Its 20 years since I have last been and I think its my last CNE. The place doesnt improve with age.

The best of all was the cat show - the kitties were adorable.

I'm not either.

I suppose the idea is to lower Tessa & Scott's & Meryl & Charlie's SD marks.

So I'm glad the kids have an on-board tech specialist. They need one.

And one should remeber that in Torino, Babs & Maurizio WON the CD over N&K. They were always pretty good CD skaters.
