Where are you going? Also I don't know why, but the show is kinda making me nervous too. 15 days seems like such a long time to do a show, I hope the pay was good lol.

I hope you give us reports on what programs they present.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the caption under the Babs death stare!
Also, Carmen seems more and more likely considering that Marina is giving them something dramatic

ETA (again)
It must be really funny having Moir and Mior training in the same rink.

I had a bit of an epiphany today. I just got back from New York where among other shows I saw ONCE. IMO it was beautiful, mesmerizing, honest, haunting, extremely well performed in pretty much every way. One of the most incredible pieces of theatre I have seen.

So today I was watching a few Youtube videos and there were many comments from people who had a similar experience to mine. However, there are also many comments from people who found it slow, boring, and not worthy of beating out Newsies as best musical. Sound familiar?

I found Once exquisite the way I find Virtue and Moir exquisite - in a way that I can't fathom anyone seeing them any other way. But clearly there ARE vastly different experiences with both. I knew that before about V and M - it was just interesting to find something else in the world with such a great similarity of differences.

On another note - I would love to see the right dance team skate to ONCE!

Anyone who thought that Newsies should have won best musical has no taste! ;) Classic Disney cheese with great dancing, but not really best musical material at all. It was fun, but not much else. Once, on the other hand, is fabulous. The staging is amazing, the music is beautiful, the set is perfect, the cast is brilliant, and the story is touching and heartbreaking. But even if it were just okay, it would still deserve to beat Newsies!

And I demand that everyone agree with me! :mitchell:

Tanith and Ben did an exhibition to Falling Slowly in one of their last few seasons which was quite lovely. But I'd love to see someone skate to Gold.

Oh, er, sorry. Pardon the interuption. Go back to your regularly scheduled Tessa and Scott. Unless you want to tell me what else you saw. If you can't tell by my user name, I'm quite interested.

Having seen neither, I can only say I found Once the movie trite and poorly shot.

Best musical of recent years? The Light in the Piazza.
