He played Robbie Douglas on my Three Sons.
A toe-tapping salute to you, Don.

On occasion the past few months I've caught snippets of My Three Sons as I flip through channels to find the morning news (at 6:00 or 6:30) and saw Don Grady on it for the first time in many, many years. Now I feel very, very old. :(
Until reading the obituary linked above, I was completely unaware of his music activities. I was also unaware that he was related to Lani O'Grady. "His sister, Lani O'Grady, who played oldest sister Mary on the 1977-81 ABC series Eight Is Enough, died in 2001 at age 46."
RIP, Don. And a belated RIP for Lani, too. :(

I also remember him, and did not know about his life after MTS's was over or that Lani was his sister or that she died.

Re My Three Sons - I shook hands with Tina Cole (who played Robbie's wife) when she was part of the King Family Singers. They actually had a couple of t.v. specials back in the 60's or something. They were appearing at the Dayton Home Show (Why in the world? And how do I remember this?) at Hara Arena. It's still a thing every year where they have home and garden exhibitions. I'm thinking they probably don't have nationally known entertainment acts appear anymore!!!
Anyway, RIP Don Grady!!

:( :( :(
I always thought that he was so cute on My Three Sons. I loved all the episodes with him after his character was married. "Chip" was a cutie, too...

I too have been catching the occasional episode of MTSs and really enjoying them. Was very sad to hear this news :(

My sister told me yesterday that the oldest son on My Three Sons died. I said, "Don O'Grady? His sister was Lani O'Grady from Eight is Enough."
She asked, "how do you know this stuff??!!"
My head is truly filled with trivia from years ago, yet I can't remember what someone told me five minutes ago...

Actually, he was originally the middle son on the show. The original oldest son was "Mike" played by Tim Considine. Tim wanted to leave the show so his character graduated from college, got married and got a job as a college professor "back East." That's when they had the story arc about adopting Ernie.
