I think Sacramone could've made the team had she gotten floor back. They might've taken her over Maroney in that instance.

I don't understand how the alternates work. Up until what point can an alternate be subbed in? Why wouldn't you have the alternates in England (not at the village, necessarily, but at least there in case they're needed?)

And I still really hope Vega wasn't foolish enough to go pro.

Still trying to figure that out. She was in an ad with Shawn and McKayla for Secret deodorant (I think that was it?) so...I worry.

This is the team we've all been guessing, and it's the perfect team to send.

And, like TG, I'm thrilled for Raisman. Yes, some of her gymnastics is kinda fug, but she's growing on me as both a gymnast and a team leader.

Up until qualifications start. And they will most likely be in London as well.

I think there's one traveling alternate, housed somewhere close.

The other 2 usually stay home, but who knows how they'll work it out this time. Given what happened in 2004 (and other years), I'd take them all to England.

I believe all three alternates traveled to the Games in 2008, but stayed and trained off-site.

I'm so thrilled for Anna Li. No one gave her a shot and she never gave up, hit the hardest UB routine in the US three times in a row. To read some comments online, she might as well have not tried!

I beLIeve!!!

I totally admit that at Classics I wondered why she was even bothering. So happy to be proved wrong!

I wonder if Becca's heart is even in it anymore. I hope she'll be okay. I know its always possible she could go for 2016 but given her age I wonder if she has the stamina to keep going after this. I know Valeri isn't exactly a teddy bear of a coach but I hope there is someone there to comfort her right now.

I'm really happy Sarah Finnegan is an alternate. She's only 15 so I hope she has a great quad and we get to see her at the 2016 games!

If she gets her bars up to where everything else is, she'll be an AA medal contender.

I wonder if she'll start training the Amanar again. I'm gonna say yes unless it really gets devalued.

(emphasis mine)

I'm thinking there'll be a lot of pressure on the FIG to devalue this vault (as well as the Yurchenko's in general) and get the (stupid) scoring system a bit more balanced across events. It's almost impossible to be a top contender without that single skill, and that simply should not be the case when it comes to competitive sport.

I hope so.

I'm so sick of Yurchenko's. Almost no one does anything other than a Yurchenko unless they're going for vault finals.
