NBC chooses Phillip Phillips' "Home" as their background music during the women's preview fluff piece. :)

And Al stirs drama and rumors again wondering aloud if Maroney will be competing after her crash at Nationals. That's a tough one, she's been doing full workouts during podium training, I seriously don't know if she's going to give it a go tomorrow night.[/sarcasm]

Al is a complete jerk, making drama again out of nothing, gosh why they still hire him as PBP?

Jake Dalton and Sam Mikulak I want them both on the team

Hope the guys just get the nerves settle down after this Trials and show what they can do at London

I never realized how code-whorey Leyva's PB routine was until tonight.

Is it bad that I want jake dalton on the team over Steve legendre just because I think he's cuter?

Right?

I love Leyva, but I can't root for him to win PB because he's pirouetting like a Chinese guy on HB. At least he has good enough execution though.. I cringe when I see Zou Kai or Zhang Chenglong on HB.

Not in my book.

Besides, if Legendre made the team he'd only be used on Floor and Vault.

Dalton could be used on FX, VT, SR, and he'd be a good back up on both PB and HB. It's just PH where he's not great.

Damn! I just volunteered to work a few extra hours since they were short here tonight. Now I wish I had taken myself straight home! I forgot about this. I just hope my dvr picked it up.

Leyva PB 15.9 (D- 6.6, E- 9.3)
Orozco PB 15.55 (D- 6.6, E- 8.95)

What a joke, IMO.

Awesome HB from Danell! Small hop on landing but otherwise, great. I don't know much about men's gymnastics, could he make the event finals in HB at the Olympics?

Yes, he can. Horton, Mikulak, and Orozco might have chances too.

The Chinese codewhores will probably win though, so bleh.

Mikulak was awesome today. He totally deserved every score!

With one day to go, the team has got to be Orozco, Leyva, Mikulak, Horton and Dalton, IMO. Those 5 can put up the best combination of three scores on each event. Brooks is just looking too inconsistent... :(

Agree. Based on scores today, that looks like the team to me also. They would seem to manage reasonable to great scores on all events.

Totally out of the running IMO are Sender, Ishino, Dixon, and Maestas.
Those strongly contending for alternate spots based on today are Brooks, Legendre, Wynn, and Ruggeri, with Naddour and Buscaglia a bit behind.
