RIP. "When Harry Met Sally" is one of my favorites.

Oh, I had no idea she was sick! When Harry Met Sally deserves its unofficial status as the greatest romcom of all time, IMO. I also love Julie & Julia, though I remember opinions on that film being pretty divided here. I didn't know she did Silkwood. RIP.

Totally agree! WHMS also has one of the most iconic lines of all time "I'll have what she's having!" Great movie. I like Sleepless In Seattle, too.

She didn't write that one, though. Rob Reiner's mom improvised it.

Nora Ephron DID write Crazy Salad (http://www.amazon.com/Crazy-Salad-Things-Modern-Library/dp/0679640355), though, the book that started me thinking about what it meant to be a woman in the modern world of 1975. I was 13. As light and funny as it was, it was a real eye-opener for me and is still the Nora Ephron work I think of first.

RIP.

I am definitely ordering this book! Thanks, Prancer :)

I hope you know your history . It was very much a book of its time.

I definitely know my history - plus I had to read an awful lot of books and articles that were a picture of their times for my Women's Studies minor so I'm used to it ;)

And I have my trusty friends Google and Wikipedia if all else fails ;)

Heartburn was my favorite. I liked Crazy Salad too....I'm so sorry. She was way too young to go. RIP Nors. Thanks for the laughs and the wit. You will be missed!

I didn't realize she was 71. For some reason I thought she was more my age.

RIP Nora

fave line from When Harry Met Sally...

Do me a favor, for your own good, put your name in your books right now before they get mixed up and you won't know whose is whose. 'Cause someday, believe it or not, you'll go 15 rounds over who's gonna get this coffee table. This stupid, wagon wheel, Roy Rogers, garage sale COFFEE TABLE.
