Starts tomorrow. Lots of the big names are choosing not to go with the Olympics so close and there will be no walks or marathons either.

On the other hand, lots of people will be chasing Olympic qualifying times or trying to prove themselves to their national selectors.

There is scheduled to be free live streaming here (http://eurovision.digotel.com/ea/index.html).

Start Lists (http://www.sportresult.com/sports/la/ajax/eaa2.asp?module=timetable_date&event_day=1&event_id=10011300000001&lang=en)

Here's hoping for better weather than the last time a big championships was in Helsinki. :yikes:

Oh dear, that was a deluge!

I lost most of the interest I had on this event due to Nelson Evora not being there. He has an injury and he won't be able to compete until the rest of the year :(

3 out of 5 winners in the 400 meters men's heats DSQ, two Brits and a French guy.

That's the whole British men's 400m individual entries gone. Yikes.

Irish guy is the fastest qualifier. Let's hope he doesn't step on a line or something in the next round.
