Sale and Pelletier get my vote every round until they are gone.

Sale & Pelletier. They arent the weakest pair on this list but they did not deserve either of their major titles (the 2002 Olympics was close enough I could have accepted it had the judges chosen them originally but not the way it went down, whining and pouting their way to gold after losing a close decision).

Still Pang & Tong for me.

Same here. Their 2001 worlds win was very questionable, and I was there in person in Vancouver. I was also there is person in SLC in 2002, and I could have accepted either pair winning a close competition that night, but S&P did not win that night, so to me they are not the real Olympic champions. Jamie's behavior after getting the silver was a big turn off for me. By contrast, B&S were very gracious after getting a silver at the 2001 worlds, and after having to share the gold with S&P in SLC.

ETA: Sorry. I did not mean to beat up the dead horse.

Still Pang & Tong for me.

I do believe W&S were a weaker pair than Pang & Tong, but I could just never warm up to Pang & Tong. However, I voted for S&P for reasons I stated in my other post (I just noticed your post).

I don't understand why the votes for Sale & Pelletier based on actual skating skills.

I voted for Woetzel & Steuer, I think they are by far the weakest pair, her especially, I can't really recall a clean skate by them (even when they won) and they had lesser technical content than their competitors with only a throw double axel.

Not quite true. There were worse pairs than Y&B on the list. Majority rules, but it does not mean 'everyone'

Voting for Woetzel & Steuer.

Not crazy about the whining Jamie and David did at SLC, but that's irrelevant. I think they deserve a few more rounds based on skills and accomplishments.

Seriously people?

This round should be a no brainier. Woeztel and Steuer.

I'm not a fan a S&P, but they were clearly a superior team, as was everyone else on this list, to W&S.

Sorry to see Shishkova-Naumov getting so many votes.

Really, though!

I'm going to post their little seen Meditation FS again. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kz1n9vyGX18) That skate actually got them kicked off the Olympic team, and it's still superior to anything W&S have ever done.

Yes the side by side jumps were not Shiskova's friend, but Woeztel couldn't do a double axel to save her life either. I think the triple toes was the *one* element that W&S did better than S&N.

If *one* judge changed their mind in 96, S&N would have been two time world champions and for sure been put on the 97 world team and probably would have been placed on the 98 Olympic team considering 98 Nationals was evenly skated between the top 4 teams. Eltsova and Bushkov probably would have got chucked down the rankings instead.

I voted for Woetzel and Steuer again. Almost went with Kovarikova and Novotny, but can't get over W&S's frequent sloppiness, even though I loved their 97/98 FS.

Me too. This round I voted for Pet-Tikhs. If any of these Russian pairs needs to go next, it's them.
