Technically this is Wings, not the Beatles. ;)

Is this another Beatles FD from K&P in 1982? http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=4Ow8xSHGvT8#t=82s This part sounds like "Help" to me.... if it is, I guess they were big fans.

Wasn't Wings a McCartney group? Equally appropriate for Paul's 70th, IMO.

In honor of Sir Paul turning 70 today, I wanted to have everyone give their favorite Beatles/Wings/etc program.
I met the criteria. :)

Especially if folks are posting "Imagine" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imagine_(song)) which is really Lennon's song. ;)

You're right - I was thinking of the thread title only (naming the Beatles). :)

I liked Rachael Flatt doing "I Wanna Hold Your Hand", but would love it if just once there would be a skate done to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCsgZ9zU7IA

Loved Davis/White's Eleanor Rigby FD, Jenny Kirk's 2005 FS (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1hr5vf-Dvk), and Navarro/Bommentre's FD to the Abbey Road medley.

I feel like I'm the only one who didn't like Crone/Poirier's FD to Eleanor's Dream. :shuffle:

I've been looking for a dance by Torvill/Dean themselves called 'Eleanor'. Couldn't find it on YouTube nor FSVids.

One of my favourites ever Beatles program was the '95 FD by Rahkamo/Kokko and I enjoyed the LP of Steven Cousins too that same season:

Thanks so much manleywoman, for posting that link to Kim's and Brent's great performance. Miss them. They always seemed to give and receive so much enjoyment through their skating. Watching Kim and Brent just now, I am struck by their distinctive quality of giving and joyous enthusiasm in performing together that I also see somewhat similarly in Gilles/ Poirier.

Great program from an underrated team!

SOI had an ensemble cast number to the Golden Slumbers medley quite a few years back.

Last year one of the Disson shows was Beatles program featuring the tribute band, Rain.

Enjoyed them both!

Meryl & Charlie's Eleanor's Dream :encore:

Happy Birthday, Sir Paul! :D

Jarrett, thanks.
If it's on YT, I can't find it.

A Day in the Life Skate America, sorry for the crappy quality but that is all I have.

My understanding is that T and D performed this program on one of their tours.
However, they had trouble getting necessary music "clearances" at the time; and it was never recorded.
If someone knows more, please share.

I was never a U&M fan, but I loved this skate in a pro competition. Sadly, it came after Barbara lost her 18 month old daughter in the swimming pool. The emotions in this program are beautiful.

Just think; some dared to say that she couldn't "do" avant-garde or edgy material!
A fabulous program/performance.
