I believe IN is run by Major League Baseball's online operation. They are likely the ones who choose the photos and write the photo captions and do the copy editing. Since they're not from the figure skating world, it's not surprising their site has so many errors. The writers of the articles are all freelancers, so it doesn't really matter who they hire, they pay the same rate. And since they don't know much about figure skating, they have no idea if something is correct or not until someone contacts them to complain.

Ice Network is a part USFS.... Sorry, but it's the job of the "owners" to make sure they use competent staff

Was the split between Igor and Liz amicable? Is reteaming a possibility?

Looking at D/W's WTT performances - Zoueva was there, Shpilband was not (I think in 2009 it was the other way around), and with the exception of the obligatory post-FD photo, they pretty much ignored Marina entirely in the K&C (http://youtu.be/vZYPidagIVE?t=6m37s). I don't know if we should read any deep meaning into that, but it looked weird. There was a lot more interaction between her and V/M.

thanks for posting that. towards the end, when Meryl and Charlie are receiving congratulations from their team, I believe Charlie says, "there's only one reason why" and points to Marina.

If one could get Karponosov away from Linichuk as a technical coach, I would be interesting in seeing that. I always got the impression that all the :scream: choreography and music and general bad taste (sorry) of the last few years was hers. Even the few recent programs of hers I liked, they never went over well with audiences.

Marina's quote that there is a possibility of them working together in the future - I am shocked that she would say that after having a hand in him being fired. Does she truly think he'd work with her after this, regardless of who is right/wrong here? It's almost like she doesn't see this as that big a deal.

I could be wrong, but I thought MLB just supplied the software/platform, and didn't have anything to do with "content creation".When you call for tech support, you get an MLB person. I think the people uploading comp videos are independent of USFS. You may be right about the print content creation. Hard to tell b/c USFS website doesn't list staff dedicated to IN....that may be part of the problem - too much to keep track of and the fact checking doesn't get done.

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. From an outside point of view...Igor looks innocent in all this. Marina is not looking very likeable in this whole ordeal.
I don't know who in their right mind would want to work with her now, if she is setting a trend of getting them fired eventually.

I actually really liked the stuff she did for B/A because I thought it was a return to where they started (their early stuff was definitely not perk) rather than a departure from their style as some people say. I liked the stuff that Linichuk did for F/S at the time. The real stinkers were DomShabs 09/10 programs, and I think because of those, all of the rest get lumped in there together.

Her work for DenStavs in there last few seasons was certainly impressive, and if she went more in that direction, there could be something fabulous there.
I was never the biggest DenStav fan, and I didn't really like the stuff that she made for them anyway.

Maybe Shpilband and Zhulin can team up and make Bobrova Olympic Champion.

I know how many of you would love that. :D

That would be epicly amazing

Was the split between Igor and Liz amicable? Is reteaming a possibility? No idea but I am 99% sure Liz is back coaching in England so I doubt it.

Of the other Canton teams, I believe at least Evan Bates is also an in-state student at U of M.

So is Alex Shibutani.
