This is so weird. I could see if one of the 2 top teams decided he couldn't politik adequately for both. Or I could see if Shibs felt like they did not make progress last year. But for all 3 to want to dump him from the rink? That is odd.

Wheeee the story is already changing.

Zueva really f*ucked this up, even if what she says is true.

And it confirms every bit of rumors regarding her previous behaviours with previous "partners". I say of course :D

:watch: With all my attention on the French Open, I have literally only just seen this news. That's 18 pages to keep me going tonight :cheer2:

We also should not downplay the fact that many of these skaters do have lives beyond skating and that includes family and school. D/W have been so unbelievably lucky in that they never trained anywhere other than in the area where they were born and raised. Education appears to be important to both of them and they are enrolled in a great school that, aside from providing the opportunity to attend as in-state students and saving on tuition, has obviously given them much flexibility in their schedules. IIRC, education was one of the reasons the Shibs stated moving to Canton from Colorado Springs was a good fit. Of the other Canton teams, I believe at least Evan Bates is also an in-state student at U of M.

Even though these "kids" are older, their lives aren't any easier to disrupt.

Maybe Shpilband and Zhulin can team up and make Bobrova Olympic Champion.

I know how many of you would love that. :D

Haha! I'm really waiting for the next shoe to drop in this story. It has been about 20 hours since the news first broke. I need some new developments. :watch:

Oy, my lord... all this reminds me of the headline gossip on Liane's "suicide" attempt in the movie "Gigi" -

"PARIS AGOG!"

Only in this case it would be -

"FSU   :blah: :yikes:   :watch: :drama: "

Maybe Shpilband and Zhulin can team up and make Bobrova Olympic Champion. There's not enough coaching talent and :bribe: to make that happen. ;)

Read the article several times now and there is no such proclamation of the sort. NOTHING is said about who D/W, V/M or Shib Sibs will wind up training with/for.

Did you notice the caption on the later article (under the same picture) ways "client list is uncertain" Ice Network backpeddles again :)

IceNetwork is so sloppy with it's "journalism." It's really embarrassing. You'd think with all the people out there desperate for work, they could find better reporters.

They are likely the ones who choose the photos and write the photo captions and do the copy editing. Since they're not from the figure skating world, it's not surprising their site has so many errors. The writers of the articles are all freelancers, so it doesn't really matter who they hire, they pay the same rate. And since they don't know much about figure skating, they have no idea if something is correct or not until someone contacts them to complain.

Ugh. Who cares about Linichuk? She's a desperate has-been. :scream: I despise her for creating dances that relied on costume handles to facilitate lifts and such. gaaaaah. Foul play. Foul play.

You just made my day. I need to renew my subscription, until then I owe you some rep points.

I could be wrong, but I thought MLB just supplied the software/platform, and didn't have anything to do with "content creation".
