Reserve team is shocking, Domnina/Shabalin :shuffle:, I love them to bits, but even I don't believe they are going to compete again. For those who feel that russian fed is supporting Gerbolt/Enbert more than other team, them in reserve team should make it clear how they feel about G/E. Rus Fed could have very easily put G/E on the national team rather than on the reserve team.

no sofia biryukova? le gasp!

Sofiya is in the reserve team.

What list is this Senior Team ? is this the Russian local cup competition because Martiusheva/Rogonov were not assigned to any GP, maybe they will get the host pic ? but didn't Gerboldt/Enbert got GP assignment so why are they not on the list and are in Reserves list instead ?

Re: Domnina-Shabalin, I believe them being on this list gives Russian Federation an official opportunity to continue paying them salary, which is actually quite nice of the fed, considering they had ruined his health and jeopardized their carrier.

The men - Mishin coaches the bookends!

Plushy is the old man of the field (29/30 years old)

and Artur is the baby (18/19 years old)!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

(In a way, that should be terrifying for Russia - that the only two skaters on the men's team worth anything at the moment are the oldest and youngest.)

Polina Agofoniva just turned 16 in April - (2/4/96)

I am surprised that Shelepen is on reserve team and not on senior team. Then again, I don't think it matters much on which list you are. It might matter, if it is connected with the amount of funding they receive, but it doesn't have much impact on the allocating international competitions. For example, Vasilisa Davankova/Andrei Deputat weren't on any list last year, (the Russian Federation possibly did not even know about them), and during the season they managed to impress so much that they were sent to Worlds...

Kamilla Gainetdinova/Ivan Bich are on the list, I just checked the orginal (page 5, Nr. 3 and 4 in the junior pairs list): http://fsrussia.ru/upl/ckeditor/8231235.pdf
I also spoke to Tamara Moskvina recently in whose group they are training and also to Ivan's dad and they are preparing for next season.

I believe the national teams have to do more about funding (just as the envelopes program in USA) and have Nothing to do with GP assignments which are determined by Season Best and World Ranking.

Where's Ovcharova? Is she still representing Russia?

I think her and her family moved to Switzerland so she very well could end up competing for them. With her jumps, I don't see her being successful in Russia, too much competition.

Hadn't though of that.

In my fantasy world, D&S being on the list would mean if none of the Russian teams live up to their potential by the end of this season, the Russian fed will attempt a a hail mary and break up a team to have Domnina skate with one of the current guys.

Her and Tkachenko would be a good match. :shuffle:

So is Switzerland the other country where she has citizenship?

Jemestone

I don't think she has citizenship but you only need that to compete at the Olympics, which she may or may not have by that time...I am too lazy to look up the their citizenship requirements :shuffle:
