Loved the step dancing Aldridge/Eaton video. I wish I could see Hubbell/Donohue. Did Abbott do any of the shows this year? I thought he was scheduled, but he was tweeting about attending a wedding, and a brunch (essentially anything other than the DSC shows)

Jeremy Abbott (filmed from a distance, with a guest appearance from behind the curtain ;) about halfway through): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdMqyRhxxiY
ETA: It's the program he debuted on the Canadian SOI tour - "I Won't Give Up" (Jason Mraz).

I've edited in new videos of A. Gilles, Glastris, O'Brien/Merriman & a group number into my post (#29) above.

I merely posted the video links - thanks should go to unimagine818, as well as to the person who filmed Abbott's video, for their efforts. It's always great to see so many photos as well! :)

In case anyone missed seeing the photo of Jordan Cowan, his caption reads:
"Retired ice dancer Jordan Cowan has moved behind the scenes. (He's also teaching ballroom dancing.)"

Balde brought the house down! Yes Jeremy skated. Not sure of the music. He did a triple something and a double axel when I saw him.

sk8ers..I was so pleased that Elladj went to DSC, and I'm anxiously looking forward to the results. What did he skate to ?

I'm just thrilled that he could come back from his devastating injury , but thought he needed a better FD last year.

He certainly has a presence on the ice and is very entertaining. I've only seen him a couple of times. Wiki says he missed a season due to injury but no details. Could you give some background on him? Hope he can sort out the jumps!

He plays off the crowd, maybe too much. He’s a people person, magnetic, with unrealized talent. When he won his Canadian junior title three years ago [2008], he mesmerized four-time world champion Kurt Browning, who watched in awe from his perch on the television commentator’s stand.

Two years ago, in an odd training accident in Montreal, Baldé caught his skate blade against the boards while merely skating backward. Then his body twisted. He tore the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee. The injury required major surgery and kept him off the ice for six months.

I see P/B continue to get a lot of mileage out of their Dirty Dancing EX...

So that would have been in 2009, right? A torn ACL is what Dai suffered in 2008, and it's a tough injury to return from in any sport.

From what little I've seen of his skating, Baldé is fun to watch. I wish him well and hope the move to DSC will pay off.

Sylvia thanks for the info and links for Elladj Balde. I wish him well. That is a very difficult injury from which to recover. Hope the move to DSC works out for him.

This. Also, I don't think that exhibition is all that old. Admittedly, I could be completely and totally wrong, but the first time I remember seeing it was during the Euro's exhibition this year.
