I wrote a novel too, though I'm still in the process of trying to find a publisher (or rather my agent is!). My novel falls into the Young Adult category so it tends to be a bit harder to really sell someone on the concept...but my fingers are crossed. It took me two years as well but once you finish writing, it's so worth it. But to be published? I can't even imagine how amazing you must feel! It's my dream and ultimate goal in life to have my novel published. So from one writer to another congratulations! :) I know what it's like putting in the countless hours of planning, outlining, drafting, writing, revising, reading, revising and re-reading...it's endless! But to be honest, there's nothing about it that I didn't enjoy...well, the waiting process sucks but I loved everything about the writing.

I'm very happy for you and, again, congratulations! :)

Gosh, I've been off the board for a while due to Moving, etc. But thanks so much for the kind words and support with regards to my book milanessa and lulu.

Adding my congrats on the book, Max, and on being an accomplished author! I love what Ive read so far. I know you must be extremely excited!

Wishing you the best and hope your book becomes a best-seller! :)

(just adding that I'm afraid I didn't see this thread until now, either. I'm so glad it was bumped.) :)

Stick with it! Congrats on finishing your book, that's a monumental task! Getting published is so right place/right time (at least for me it was), and it can be easy to get discouraged, so just keep plugging away.

Thanks for the kind words and congratulations!

Max (er Jake), Congratulations on a really easy read & very entertaining book (1st couple of pages anyway). I was hooked immediately.

Thanks, never thought I'd be a published author, 11 years ago when I chose my username on the old FSW.

I didn't see this thread back in May, but I wanted to say Congrats!!! I hope it becomes a bestseller.

Thank you, I'll even settle for a medium seller...

Took me two years of my life. The whole experience will be forever linked with Figure Skating because the day I received the first e-mail from an editor inquiring about whether I'd be interested in expanding an article I'd written into book form was the day of the Ladies SP in Vancouver.

It's due to be released in October. Am going to give up some of my FSU anonymity (my name is Jake, not Max-I know we're all stunned!) to supply a link.

I finished reading your book and really enjoyed it :) I laughed a lot, and learned a lot, too :D Congratulations!

P.S. I'm passing it along to my pastor brother. He's going to love it!

Congrats! I read the preview and bought the e-version. I didn't know you contribute also to The Busted Halo. I listen to that very occasionally (can't stand the host's cackling). Anyway, congratulations!
