Boy I'm humbled by all the kind words and well-wishes. I've been on this board for over ten years and while I post infrequently and sometimes too snarkily for some posters tastes, I've always considered it a caring, kind on-line community/family who have always made me feel welcome. So, of course it was natural that I wanted to share my good news with you all. I'm glad I did.

I'm resurrecting this thread to say I got it today from Amazon and read the first chapter. Enjoying it - your family sounds like a hoot. :)
Congratulations! You have a natural writing style and a great sense of humor and it comes across in your writing.
Thank you so much for sharing your book with us. I'd def. add it to my wishlist. :)
P.S. Love the bit about your family as well.

Took me two years of my life. The whole experience will be forever linked with Figure Skating because the day I received the first e-mail from an editor inquiring about whether I'd be interested in expanding an article I'd written into book form was the day of the Ladies SP in Vancouver.
It's due to be released in October. Am going to give up some of my FSU anonymity (my name is Jake, not Max-I know we're all stunned!) to supply a link.
Max (er Jake), Congratulations on a really easy read & very entertaining book (1st couple of pages anyway). I was hooked immediately.

Adding my congrats on the book, Max, and on being an accomplished author! I love what Ive read so far. I know you must be extremely excited!
Wishing you the best and hope your book becomes a best-seller! :)
(just adding that I'm afraid I didn't see this thread until now, either. I'm so glad it was bumped.) :)

Whee, my copy arrived two days ago! Looking forward to digging in. Loving the chapter titles. A sampling: "Scooby Doo and the Blessed Virgin, Too!" "Smells like Holy Spirit" "Celibacy in the City" "Prayer in 140 Characters or Fewer."
