First, that's not entirely true, as many have shared pictures of their little ones over the years. Second, no I haven't seen any of Beanie and Max's little one.

I don't want to hijack this thread! He was 7lb 10oz, which shocked everyone because I am 4'11" and my husband is about 5'3". I was in labor for almost 23 hours but, no C-section, yay! I'm feeling pretty good. My husband and I are tag-teaming stuff and he's a pretty easy, quiet baby (just like my husband was as a baby apparently).

And hijacking a thread about babies, even if it's a skater's little one, w/the lovely news your little guy is here safe and sound and you're okay too is a bad thing? :D

Seriously, many many Congratulations on your new little son and may he bring you and your hubby nothing but much love and joy. :)

As with all babies, the window of opportunity can come likely a couple weeks early or hang on even a week late....with Baby Bourne Turok being due in early-ish June - we can expect news soon!! By my calculation at this stage of pregnancy, the new mother's bladder should be about as flat as a pancake. So the frequent need to pee urgencies I'm sure are abounding!! With lots of energetic kicking, ummm.....there she goes again.... (Vanish). I'm guessing June 8. Any other guesses?

Ah HA!! So my memory/hunch was right after all and Shae is due around the same time as my Niece Lisa. When I read in another post she and her hubby had made the announcement in January, I thought I must have gotten confused w/someone else. Turns out I was right in what I thought. :)

Congrats Lanie and to Aragorn for new family additions arrived and upcoming!! Lanie, how are you enjoying motherhood?

Thank you!!! My sister heads down to Toronto next week sometime for the last two weeks. She'll also be taking down the blanket I crocheted for him. Between her, Mom and myself, I'm not sure who's getting more excited, as this is the first Grandchild for my Sister and B-i-L and the first Great Grandchild for our Mom. The little guy will be my Dad's Step Great Grandchild, but he's just as excited as the rest of us. :D

One really great thing about of this outside of the obvious? It made shopping for my 80 year old Mom for Mother's Day really easy this year. Couldn't find a Great Grandmother charm for her charm bracelet, so went w/Plan B. They've known they're having a boy for a few months now and have named him Parker. So I picked out a silver "P" charm and a silver Teddy Bear charm for her bracelet for Mother's Day.

My sister when she saw them could have kicked herself for not thinking of that herself. :D

What was that you said about hijacking a thread Lanie?

Wishing a problem free delivery for Shae and a healthy beautiful baby when all is said and done. :)

Lanie congrats for your precious bundle of joy and AragornElessar for the new family addition.Happy for Angela and Ivan.
We don't see many pics of figure skating babies maybe because they want to keep their privacy. There are pics of newborn Daniel Staviski on Petrova and Tikhonov site.

Maybe we could start a Skaters' Babies announcement/photos thread in the Trash Can? :)

Loving all this cheerful news from friends on the board! I think a skaters' babies thread would be fun! Provided it doesn't get lost in the dross...it would be a great way to see the various kids at different stages etc...!
