This is so sad! I had no idea that she was ill. :( :(

I am going to listen to Last Dance today, in honor of Donna. :respec:

I too have been a fan since the 70s. Her voice was truly one of the best in music, and her songs were the soundtrack of my youth. I even had a big long perm like hers circa 1983.

Goodbye, Donna. Dance in Heaven, girl.

RIP Donna, and thank you. We had fun back then and you were a big part of that.

Boy was she ever. She was our fave. RIP Donna, didn't know the Last Dance was coming so soon.

Wow, this is a shock. I had no idea she was suffering from breast cancer.

She ruled during the 70's/early 80's. My favorite songs are Bad Girls, I Feel Love, and Sunset People.

It was lung cancer. RIP Donna! What a legend.

I hope the crematorium plays Hot Stuff in her honor as she's getting baked.

What sad news. :( To me Donna Summer is the voice of the late 70's - so many great songs that brought so much joy to those of us who lived through that era. Gone far too soon. May she rest in peace.

RIP Ms. Summers, you had an incredible voice, and your music still makes me smile. I still do listen to it once in a while. :)

So sad and such a shock. She had lung cancer. She deliberately kept it quiet. Heard that she believed that she got lung cancer from breathing the air post 9/11.

Heard that she believed that she got lung cancer from breathing the air post 9/11.

Seriously? She used to smoke.
